ThePhantomFlanFlinger Posted August 30, 2012 #1 Share Posted August 30, 2012 The 660-pound calf, called Sparkle, was discovered in a state of distress after falling down the ravine on a farm Sheriff Park, near Penrith, Cumbria. Fire-fighters were surprised to receive the call to rescue the 11-month-old bovine after its owner, Philip Armstrong, had noticed it missing from his farm. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/agriculture/farming/9507787/Cow-stuck-in-a-tree-in-dramatic-rescue-by-Cumbria-firemen.html

Walter White Posted August 30, 2012 #3 Share Posted August 30, 2012 I remember an episode of The Simpson when they're filming Radioactive Man in town. Ralph, I think, sees a member of the film crew painting a horse. Ralph: Why are you pianting that horse to look like a cow? Crew Member: Cows don't look like cows on screen, you gotta use horses. Ralph: What happens when you need a cow? Crew Member: We usually just tape a bunch of cats together. Maybe it wasn't a cow in the tree, maybe it was a load cats taped together (stuck there due to the cellotape), and they thought it was a cow...

Still Waters Posted August 30, 2012 #6 Share Posted August 30, 2012 When I first read the title I wondered how in the world does a cow get up a tree... ...Poor thing, I'm glad it got rescued. It's got a sweet face. The only pic I've found of it being rescued is here - not much to see though. http://www.bbc.co.uk...umbria-19408243 And then there's this which can't be right, as the cow is a different colour to the one in the OP http://web.orange.co...g_stuck_up_tree

ThickasaBrick Posted August 31, 2012 #11 Share Posted August 31, 2012 Tough to fly without wings. Forget when pigs fly, when cows try to fly. Mmmm, that steak must be tender. Someone needs to invent a cow hang glider or parachute.

Top secret. *secret agent smiley*

Lava_Lady Posted September 1, 2012 #14 Share Posted September 1, 2012 Sparkle's experience will become a prime time movie and possibly an unauthorized biography titled, Sparkle, The Truth Behind The Tree it will be a biopic about her alleged drug use and how it drove her to the edge. It's a good thing she's cute.

Eldorado Posted September 3, 2012 #18 Share Posted September 3, 2012 (edited) What the heck?! Lmao you don't see that every day either!!! Do you know how it got up there? It was a Government "Work Placement Scheme" to get minorities into employment. Sadly, the sheep was lying about being a roofer. He never even had a packed-lunch, fgs.
