Someone give me a challenge, I missed the last one I asked for!!! Quote my post when doing so, so that way one peson can write for that topic. Thanks!

I'm going straight to hell for this one............

There once was a man named Jesus

the son of god, who did as he pleased-es (lol)

Turned water to wine

invited friends over to dine and

thumbed his nose at the Pharises-es

Not much is told of our friend Jesus

during his early to mid and latter teenses

as the story goes

he took up with some ho's

and rubbed naughty bits and pieces.

Hell airy ass.

I think the idea is that you either post a request or respond to a request already posted. Not so much that someone issues you a specific challenge.

No Challenges, Flowetic Justice

With no challenge at hand, I put a foot in my mouth and one in the sand,

why wont they understand, that to be a man, you have to out-stand the front-man of the band,

expand, try to withstand making your plans so bland, instead, put them in cans,

our preservative nature's worth grands, once you die you're a brand, now the name of a stance,

and just by chance, while dancing in trance, you've just lightly enhanced, just slightly, a glance,

Wild Oats or the days when we live only for ourselves

A million faceless people have touched my days

People who entered my life and walked past the limits of my memory

To be forever lost in the limbo of what once was.

What they gave or took from the inventory of my life

I do not recall, except that they once were there

And now they have gone without the honor of remembrance.

There were those, of course, undeserving of remembering

And those who were a fleeting moment, incidental and then gone

Like sparks drifting to the heavens, imitating stars.

And there are those who I struggle to recall

Frowning with squinted eyes I try to fix a face upon my mind

But they are also gone and I am guilty of their neglect.

But others are there, firm fixtures of the gallery of recollection

They speak in whispers and repeat their messages like tired reruns

Some haunt me, intruding upon my day, demanding their place in time

And others come gently in hours of need, giving me warmth and refuge.

They are all there, somewhere, reminding me that I am a composite

Of who they were and what they left behind when peeking into my life.

The Idea is for members to post challenges, and members to respond to the challenges by pressing LIKE for the challenge when they post their response.

Trouble is, LOL, not enough challenges.. :unsure2:

This is a thread where members can make requests for a poem about whatever they like & whatever mood they like. Be careful though, Your requests might not be accepted "liked" if they are to challenging. So, lay down some challenges, or accept a few!

Challenges... Someone post some challenges!

Hmmm, I'd like a poem that sounds like a majik spell. Something to use when meditating and trying to Astral Project..

Hmmm, I'd like a poem that sounds like a majik spell. Something to use when meditating and trying to Astral Project..

Oh, maiden, mother, crone

receptive and charged

all worries put to rest

spun wide the silver threads of mandala

above my sleeping slumber rest

safely shielded mote it be

dreamtime bridges from manifest

through astral realms

take flight upon the ether

as I breathe

i do connect

with all unseen, seen best

protected by totem, guilds

one with source together

to dance amongst the stars

and travel

lay lines of universal meridians

holographic portholes ark across the gap

the cosmic glue of love

binding with creation

all within an instant flash

am I awake yet dreaming?

....That sort of thing Professor T?

In the suppine position

release the mind's condition

trace your outline

feel yourself go numb

when your mind wanders

realign with your etheric body

imagine your center

a sphere rising and falling

inside and outside your shell

you are seeing

you are floating

Hmmm, I'd like a poem that sounds like a majik spell. Something to use when meditating and trying to Astral Project..

There is a wilderness within the mind

Where some get lost, others never go

It remains uncharted, unexplored

Except by pioneers of the spirit

It is they who walk in the whisp of dreams

They who pull themselves around their soul

And pass through laws and limits

To find a place where truth resides

There is a secret within the mind

It is hidden where no thought has entered

It tells of magic, illusion and hope

As if reality was human folly

Suspend the rules that govern life

Deny the mandates of the tyrant time

Walk within the realm of self

And learn to know all that is unknown

challenge: a time traveler burning with deep emotion over something personal to him involving another person

Ohhhhhh, what a cool challenge!

Thank's for posting it..

I made the time traveller a her, sorry, to late to edit it. need to log off for a few hours..

Fulfill her dreams

Not knowing if her life is a paradox,

She wanders back in the streets of old.

Seeking that one passing stranger,

His name unknown and untold.

Her life you see is haunted by dreams,

of a child who she holds dear to her heart.

as-yet unborn this phantom child begs to live

and shows to his mother the love he will give.

"My father", say's child, with photo in hand,

a handsome young man standing outside the strand.

with sideburns and waist-coat of centuries gone,

"Find him", say child, "I want to be born"

And so she wanders the dark streets of the 18th century,

But was born of the bright lights of the 21st century,

She's seeking a stranger to fulfill her needs,

and seeking a partner to fulfill her dreams.

That was really good. LOVE IT!

OK next challenge and hope there is more than one taker but if only one then requesting The Professor.

Challenge: A person falls in love with Anne Frank after reading her diary, wishing to save her, or at least comfort, the ghost of Anne Frank is summoned. The person then loses interest so the ghost of Anne Frank is painfully hurt at her abandonment and haunts the person.

Challenge enough? Feel free to tinker with, remove, or add some elements but try to keep it similar if possible.

challenge: a time traveler burning with deep emotion over something personal to him involving another person

Before my eyes

she slipped.

I reached to grasp her

but she fell

and shattered.

All I have

left to hold

is tattered.

Around the globe I fly.

Faster, faster, faster.

The wind beats my brow.

An asteroid slaps my face.

All I hear - is my flapping cape,

until I see her.

I have slowed my pace.

I am still, in that place

where the hand is on the nine.

She will not escape

this Time.

I received a call today.

Someone found your diary.

I had tried to burn it.

I had tried to walk away.

I cannot like Superman

come to find you Lois Lane,

among the heaps

where you've been slain.

Cast your silhouette

on someone else's door.

Take away your pain,

it's welcome here no more.

But if you must persist,

come to me with solid kiss.

If we could touch for real

perhaps you'd be restored.

challenge: A poem about a cat who resuscitates a bird, feeling guilty about attacking and trying to eat it.

I decided to be creative and twist your request since it can mean both a cat who feels guilty about "attacking and trying to eat it" and a cat who is "feeling guilty about attacking" and "trying to eat it" so I will write about the cat feeling guilty as one action and trying to eat it as another action.

Staring into trees

eyes mesmerize

a possible romance

between a black cat

whose eyes hypnotize

and a chicken safe

in her tree roost

eyes captivate

a chicken falls

the cat pounces

whose eyes celebrate

life slips easily away

there was hardly a chance

to even say good-bye

and in those eyes

I saw a story

the time you saw the fire

and houses burning down

the child the next day

who played around the tree

running in circles

life continues

oh chicken it was you

who decided to trade

the love of this land

for your ability to fly

Cool.

This was a hard one.. Thanks for the Challenge!!

I've kept to your words this time.. LOL.

Anns Diary..

Such sorrow felt in her long years of hiding,

her diary spoke wisdom of conflicts colliding.

With pen and ink she wrote with time biding,

of life and of love and words born of longing.

Such was my love for her words that I failed to see,

Ann's sprit was poured into her diary.

No death to her words that live on written page,

still sweet sixteen for death knows no age.

Each time I read of her life and her loss,

I unwittingly summon her ghost.

She shares with me the secrets of human nature,

and things that mattered the most.

But when I closed her book at last, on final word she spoke.

Her ghost refused to leave my heart, so now I must denote,

and cast her ghostly spirit from my dreams that roam,

abandon her haunting words from my stately home.

So deep Ann's words from drowning ink,

I still tremble when I look.

Her life is gone but soul remains,

A spirit trapped in checkered book.

What a cool challenge!

Thanks for posting!

The poem is from a cat's perspective.

Not one of my cats. My cat's would *crunch crunch crunch* and leave feathers all over the kitchen floor.

Fluttering Wings.

Oh play sweet thing, of fluttering wing.

Oh let me play with you.

Come dance with me, my we sweat pea.

Let us doe-sea-do.

Let's chase and throw, and pounce and go,

round in circles and up in their air!

Such fun, sweet thing, of fluttering wing,

your beauty holds such flair.

What's this I say, you can no longer play?

why shiver and cower so?

My word sweet thing, of fluttering wing,

Please fly again once more.

Oh dear, no breath, you've come to death!

Oh darn my love of play!

One breath, sweet thing and flutter away,

we'll meet another day.

Forgotten Homes.

Earth-world, forgotten home,

Where eons ago we left to roam.

Through-wormholes in space-time,

And perpetual night-time,

with mysteries on the mind,

no challengers worthy to find.

Home-world, our histories,

In eons past our mysteries,

Oh to return to that source,

we must change our course!

And return to that Womb,

where there we will resume,

to discover old tomes,

in our long forgotten homes.
