Still Waters Posted September 11, 2012 #1 Share Posted September 11, 2012 With exorcism booming in Poland, Roman Catholic priests here have joined forces with a publisher to launch what they claim is the world's first monthly magazine focused exclusively on chasing out the devil. http://thestar.com.m...ec=reutersworld

ThickasaBrick Posted September 12, 2012 #7 Share Posted September 12, 2012 How many polish people does it take to keep an exorcism magazine in business? Couldn't resist it, sorry people of polish descent, nothing offensive is intended.
Lady Llayne Posted September 12, 2012 #8 Share Posted September 12, 2012 Hey it goes to show that even the church is going for job creation now days. I’m sorry but I think that this whole thing is a bit silly. All it does is enforce the idea of it, which creates a belief in something. The mind is a powerful thing that will cause us to create our own demons.
paul the walrus Posted September 12, 2012 #9 Share Posted September 12, 2012 Take note, get a first edition of this magazine and keep it perfect condition. People 30 years from will look to collect it for giggles, and prolly will pay big bucks for the nonsense it was spreading at this time.
Clarakore Posted September 12, 2012 #10 Share Posted September 12, 2012 I must be alone in thinking this is fine. Not every culture has to mirror our own and every should grow at its own pace without the opinion of Westerners who know better. More interested to know exactly the social conditions required to make a part of society there turn to exorcisms on the scale it requires its own publication.

Keel M. Posted September 12, 2012 #12 Share Posted September 12, 2012 Since there is such a huge interest in it, I'd be interested in knowing what the qualifications are for a good exorcist. Priests only? Does he have to have been a man of the cloth for many years or is a newbie acceptable? Are there special classes? I don't think there's anything wrong with having a magazine. It's just another way of making resources available to all involved in this work.

Jinxdom Posted September 13, 2012 #16 Share Posted September 13, 2012 Would rather read this then a magizine trying to prove the morals of child pornography. I do like the fact it mentions priests working with shrinks though to avoid mistakening mental illness. I would nab a copy if I could read polish just to see that part of it. It's fascinating to see people who look so critically for truth speak with so little love. If there isn't love to be found in it, truth is irrelevant to me.
