Coffey Posted September 21, 2012 #10 Share Posted September 21, 2012 It's a quote by Jimi Hendrix isn't it? Well that's his words and the one I prefer to quote, so you are right really. It was said before him though: The quote, "When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace," seems invariably to be attributed to Jimi Hendrix. However, William Gladstone once said (prior to Hendrix): "We look forward to the time when the Power of Love will replace the Love of Power. Then will our world know the blessings of peace." ( William Gladstone 1809-1898) In addition, at around the same time that Jimi Hendrix said his words, Sri Chinmoy Ghose said, "When the power of love overcomes the love of power, then there will be true peace." While Jimi Hendrix may have been inspired by/influenced by the quotes of the others, the words "When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace" appear to be his own (or at least his own spin on theirs). i am sitting here.. thinking... why? what made that pig save the goat? meanwhile.... this sig. is staring right back at me coffey: When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace. Haha, thanks for noticing, I fully believe that to be true.

ThePhantomFlanFlinger Posted September 23, 2012 #13 Share Posted September 23, 2012 The sprightly piglet leapt into action after it spotted the helpless young buck struggling to make it to dry land.Letting out a loud shriek, the distressed animal appeared to have trapped one of its hooves after wandering into the water at a children's zoo. However help was quickly at hand as the brave pig jumped into the water before paddling over to the goat and pushing it to safety. Cora Calliope Posted September 23, 2012 #14 Share Posted September 23, 2012 Aww! Cute! I once read a story about a pet pig who ran for help when its owner had a heart attack. Pigs seem to be quite intelligent.

None of the above Posted September 23, 2012 #17 Share Posted September 23, 2012 (edited) PIgs are very Dog-like and apparently as smart. Lots of people have them as pets , even keepinh them in the house, so I guess it's true. Nice story. Rememeber it next time you're eating a pork chop or bacon sandwich. Paracelse Posted September 25, 2012 #19 Share Posted September 25, 2012 In this video, a small pig becomes a hero when it dives into a petting zoo pond to save a drowning baby goat. This video made our day, though no one will credit the cameraman with being a hero. At the beginning of the tape, he simply says, "goat in the water," and then continues to film while the animal struggles to stay above water. more here Who says animal have no heart? pallidin Posted September 26, 2012 #25 Share Posted September 26, 2012 If this animal-to-animal compassion keeps up, I might have to become a vegetarian. Maybe not. I like chicken. They can't save anyone except my starving children.
