Paranormal researcher Matt Schulz believes that simple questions are likely to get the best responses.

Trying to make contact with a ghost? The key to getting them to respond may be pie -- or at least a question about it.

It usually works best to ask non-specific questions so that whatever audio garbage you manage to catch as EVPs can be loosely interpreted as intelligent responses. Such as "what is your name?" That way when you get an EVP that sounds like "mrrphghrpffthy" you can put a subtitle under it that suggests to the listener that the ghost said Murphy. And what Timothy said.

Why of course! When you are thinking on a higher plane you must not have the time or patience to answer such mundane intricate questions. :-p
