Barnacle Battlefront Posted September 30, 2012 #26 Share Posted September 30, 2012 My boyfriends 18 year old brother has to smell everything, it's part of his autism. No one warned me, so I was a bit freaked out when he sniffed the air and said I smelt good o_O I'm use to it now though I find the smell of diesel and hospital disinfectant very comforting, although I think that's cos my father is a diesel mechanic and my mum is a nurse, so that's what I was use to when I was growing up. One thing that's weird about me though- I hate the smell of lavender. It makes me freak out for some reason, it use to be to the point that I would punch walls, and scratch my face

Wyrdlight Posted October 2, 2012 #28 Share Posted October 2, 2012 Old Books. Old Woodsmoke and leaves in the autumn. The caramelesque smell of certain solvent based paints. Warm Skin. The Sea. Broken Stone, the smell you get if you break a lump of rock, a sort of heavy mineral scent.

Still Waters Posted October 8, 2012 #36 Share Posted October 8, 2012 I work for an oilseed proccessor. Whenever I get out to the plant there is a strong smell of the toasted soybeans. Some don't like it but I do. I love the smell of oilseed rape when it's growing in the field (nice yellow flowers too), the perfume is lovely. Also the smell from a whisky distillery. I can't stand the taste of whisky though!

Redefining Success Posted October 10, 2012 #38 Share Posted October 10, 2012 My 10 month old son after his bath or when I feed him in the early hours after a long late shift at work, its so relaxing. Love smelling latex, not condom latex, but glove latex, old books and even older car interiors, also love the smell of the paint on a toy car thats just been opened. Weird I know. synchronomy Posted October 10, 2012 #39 Share Posted October 10, 2012 Why do your own farts smell ok, but everyone else's are highly offensive? Google seems to have no answer.

Bonecrusher Posted December 16, 2012 #43 Share Posted December 16, 2012 Don't laugh because I love the smell of urine. However I also don't mind sniffing burnt wood . I think some of these other suggestions are horrid. But do bowling alleys really have a smell... Well they certainly have a squeaking sound. Melly Posted December 19, 2012 #49 Share Posted December 19, 2012 I see a lot of people like the smell of gasoline. I like the smell of a garage; the rusty, greasy/oily scent an old junkyard would have. Although not weird, liquid Ivory hand soap smells nice. It reminds me of my aunt's house.
