im cheating and starting with lOl (loudly outs loser)

Just to add here - making up new abbreviations for fun is one thing, to use them in posts on the forums is quite another. That isn't a good idea.

That said, feel free to carry on with the game :tu:

This isn't mine, but it's such a wild coincidence (synchronicity?) that I just happened to find the following abbreviation in an article I was editing today:

The term, spelled out, is "monomannosyl dioleyl glycerol conjugate"

The abbreviation is--I kid you not--manDOG.

I almost soiled my Fruit of the Looms when I saw it.

Just to add here - making up new abbreviations for fun is one thing, to use them in posts on the forums is quite another. That isn't a good idea.

Imagine how annoying it would be trying to have a conversation with someone who was using made-up abbreviations.

When I was at school I used to write JIC for 'just in case', and I still use it today when writing notes to myself.

One of my most favored text abbreviations (usually to my sister) is ODFOD
