Republicans threaten move to Canada

What about the developed southern hemisphere nations like New Zealand and Australia, they're among the most developed and democratic lands in the world ("we speak English, mates"). South Africa has an economic boom and the highest standard of living in Africa, then it has went into some sort of decline after the oppressive Apartheid regime ended 18 years ago. And the European-influenced portions of South America: Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay will make an American expatriate quite comfortable.

Santiago, Chile is a fine example of the economic growth and newfound prosperity in the third world in recent decades. Economic policies favored by conservative and Libertarian groups in the USA will make them feel right at home.

I'll bet Canada, unlike us, doesn't coddle her illegals, either.

Oh, yes, we do, unfortunately, but, maybe because they are more accepted here, we don't have the degree of racial tension in Canada.

If Repubs are threating to move to Canada, the real reason is because of all that pornographic Canadian money you guys are making up there. :D

Obama is just an excuse.

As has already been pointed out - they just wouldn't like it, in fact they would FREAK.

- Gun control, nobody owns guns unless they are a farmer or member of a shooting club with a special licences (aka: the minority)

- Carbon Tax - that's right, Australia is trying to "save the planet" by taxing us out of carbon dependency

- Our PM is an Atheist and unmarried but living with her defacto partner - not exactly a conservative candidate.

- We pay for universal health care through our tax system AND I personally like the fact that my tax dollars are making sure underprivileged kids with luekemia are getting the treatment they need, regardless whether their parents have worked a day in their life and I wouldn't begrudge said parents having their lives saved by my tax dollar either. Many of us think the FIRST thing government should do is value people's lives above all else (weird huh?)

- Voting is compulsory and you will be fined if you don't show up and at least put an "X" on a page.

- We have scaled tax rates, the more you earn the higher your tax bracket  . Top tax bracket is around the 48% mark

Well, there's a bumper crop of whine from the Republican vineyards this year, but I'm afraid it won't be very tasty, what with all the sour grapes. :passifier:

The Canadians better be building a fence.

Nah, the polar bears will take care of them.

Have you tried licking their tears? That might be sweeter.

I recall watching an episode of "American Dad" when Stan was stationed in Saudi Arabia and he fell in love with a place shares much of his right-wing moral values. But be advised saudi Arabia and the oil-rich Persian Gulf nation-states (Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and the UAE) are under a fundamentalist Islamic culture where things like alcohol and pork are forbidden, and women are ordered to follow strict gender roles or under custodial supervision of their husbands or male relatives. Saudi Arabia is the most observant of Wabhabism where the rules are strictly enforced by the Muwadein (sp?) or morality police, the kingdom is notorious in human rights violations such as the treatment and religious liberties of its' guest workers, mostly from India and southern Asia.

I am not sure why you are trying so hard to 'sell' these Repubs on other countries-you do know they are just spouting hot air they arent really going to leave the US. This is basically a big joke.

Australia's government has not a single plus about it. No one at the helm is competent or good at what they do. At least the Americans had Ron Paul. Here in Victoria, it is a police state, you can get fined for swearing in public, jaywalking, speed cameras absolutely everywhere and every time you see a police car, more fear is instilled than relief these days as a result. Carbon tax has a stranglehold on our economy. The politicians have more fights over their egos than anything. More so, our PM has lied to us on multiple occasions, yet people STILL support her.

If anything, this country is just as or even more doomed with stupid laws and control over the populace than the US (minus the NDAA and such). Stupidity rules our nation.

I think they better find somewhere pretty quick. Once Clinton figures out how to do away with term limits for Obama the next step will be FEMA internment camps. They'll scour the interwebs and track ip's to find all the rabid Obama haters so they can shove them away like Sheriff Arapiao's inmates. Of course all their property will be confiscated and they'll be forced to peddle energy generating exercise bikes all day. It's true. I heard it on the internet.

:P This happens every election. If a Democrat wins Republicans threaten to move and if a Republican wins Democrats threaten to move. Ya know what...very few of them ever do.

Sure, they can populate the far north. There's lotsa room up there!

lol, yup! But with the lack of knowledge that some Americans have they would expect to live in igloos.

Unless you 'lose' all your id, get in a boat and land here illegally and claim sanctuary.

I might add that,i find all this post election hysteria very interesting and quite frankly bizarre.Fox are questioning the turnout for Obama in some districts of Philidelphia,Why ?

Even the Bush,Gore election which had its questions especially in Florida doesn't compare with this.
