Texas FORMALLY requests secession

Just seen a poll on CNN and 53% say that the GOP will be to blame if an agreement over the Fiscal Cliff cannot be reached.

If its not Bush's fault its the GOP's fault.

Cant possibly blame the powers in charge for spending like teenage girls with a credit card.

Obama got more of the popular vote than Bush ever did, while Romney didn't even get as many votes as McCain in 2008.

Hard to get a person to vote against you as long as you keep the entitlement progtrams up and running.

GOP doesnt stand a chance with their old fashioned beliefs that a man should work as opposed to accepting welfare and sitting at home.

I would be happy to let Texas and the other Confederate States go, then we can finally be free of them and make the United States what it should have been all along, without them always holding the rest of us back and trying to regress into the 19th Century.

Whats that exactly?

Europe?

You have to admit that since the Election the GOP have been acting in a very infantile manner,a very big bunch of sore losers.Allen West has got to be the biggest crybaby of them all.

I recall a very classy speech from Romney to Obama the very night of the results.

West is the ONLY one still screaming about the elections.

I hear people discussing the DIRECTION of the country and Benghazi, and other political items that actually NEED to be discussed.

You seem to paint your picture with a very wide brush.

You don't think the Dems would like to win every election? You seem very simple.

Ah, how to patronise someone. So, after the '00 and '04 Elections, Dem-dominated states did the same thing, did they? (Even though, since they did actually get more votes than GW in the first one, they might have had a reaosonable argument for doing so.... :innocent: )

At least more like Canada.

Let the Confederate States be a Third World country run by bigots, Bible Thumpers and oil barons. I would be happy to let them all go and just say don't let the screen door hit you on your way out.

Not quite, not quite. With Lincoln and the anti-slavery course the South had a real gripe, with Obama it is just sour grapes. The Republicans had the best chance to take the Hill and the White House in more than a century and screwed it up royally. Instead of asking themselves if they are still relevant to those who matter in the elections (or called by the name: the swing voters) they now try to retire to the sulking corner, or at least the more fanatic are.

I think you are oversimplifying it with your "Sour Grapes" analogy.

This is not about the election, its over, its not going to change.

This is about what we see on TV this very day.

Spain, Portugal, Italy all rioting in the streets with police forces beating the citizens down to disperse them.

Why is this going on?

Too many years now Europe has played the role Obama is trying to play now, Social Security, Healthcare, Welfare, etc... all provided to the people by the Govt

The Govt is now broke.

These nations are roling back the social programs, the very same ones Obama is trying to pass for Americans, and the people will not have it.

These nations have become too Socialistic in nature nad now its going to bite them.

Obama can be my President, i dont care. I only ask that he stop ignoring the constitution of this nation and stop trying to shape this nation into one that meets his vision. Europe.

People didnt vote for the GOP because they knew the GOP platform flat out would limit all social programs and would require those who can work would actually have to work.

Notice how the large cities in every state are all Blue? These are the areas where the vast majority of our nations poor live and they do so because its near where the programs are being run.

47% of this nation pay ZERO in income taxes.

Where does the money come from to pay for all these programs?

The other 53%

Yet we demonize the rich and they are the very ones providing the money for these programs.

Talk about a nation that bites the hand that feeds them.

This is why you see these people making these outrageous decisions like filing to seperate. Enough is enough.

We cant affords to stem the flow of Darwinism any longer, time to let those who can work but choose not to do so to just starve.

Too many Homeless people in my area have been offered jobs and shelter through local programs just to be told that they didnt need the help because they were content with their "chosen" lifestyle.

Obama can be my President, but it would be nice if he worried about the country and let the states worry about their citizens.

Strangely we see that Obama did not get 47%, which according to you are on government benefits (which is not really true, a study has shown that more than 90% of Americans get a government benefit of some sort and that 1% of those don't want to contribute to them supported by 40% who are also taking from the pork barrel) he got almost 8% more than Romney, or somewhere around 53%. Which happens to be a clear majority.

Now, you can accept that the majority wants something different than you or you can retire into the sulking corner.

First off number of popular votes doen't matter, number of Electoral College votes does.

Secondly no state (red or blue) has filed anything saying they wanted to secede from the union.

Lasty if you patronise others expect to be patronised in return.

To the contrary of the sore looser of 2012 at least he had the popular vote on his side, this time it is not even near a majority.

We do not decide who is elected President by popular vote so your post is moot. Thanks for playing, better luck next time.

Funny that, the number of people who vote for a candidate doesn't matter; at least when a Republican candidate is concerned. When, however, a Dem gets more votes from more people, and wins by the Electrical College system, then that's unfair and he's being dictatorial and Tyrannical. :unsure2:

How, incidentally, is observing that certain Republicans seem to be acting like petulant children patrionising? :innocent::passifier:

The Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution were written by Southerners. The Contential Army was commanded by a Southerner. Without the south the US wouldn't be the country it is today. So if you are saying that the US should have been an English colony all along I guess you are correct. I'm not sure most Americans feel that way.

Spoken like a true bigot. I guess the irony of your post went right over your head. Anyone who liked you post is probably a bigot also.

So a question: Do you hate yourself, or are you a hypocrit also?

Whoa cowboy. I never said Obama didn't win or won unfairly or was a dictator or was tyrrannical. I simply posted facts about how the US elects our President. Sorry if you don't like them but that is one of the great things about facts, they don't care if you like them or agree with or not them they remain facts.

They do not decide by popular vote when it's a Republican. When it's a Dem, though, unless 100% of the electorate vote for them, then it's unfair and they're going to stomp off and not play any more.

Who's moaning? I just stated facts about how the US elects our President. The losing side is never happy about losing. Why would they be?

Perhaps you need to look up the Electoral College System. It appears you do not understand it.

Yeh, but to put their soreness about loosing (cause believe me I am sore that the third parties could not get at least 5%) ahead of the good of the country by retiring into the sulking corner sure does not denote adulthood.
