It is still amazing to me what sort of barbaric acts are inspired by organized religion of the Judeo Christian variety.

I'm guessing he wanted to make a lasting impression.

Some people are incapable of being human.

That's true, unfortunately... Edited by CuriousGreek

Well it would indicate he has some sort of pagan beliefs ?

It's not so much the beliefs themselves but the gullibility and weakness of the mind that he would even think of doing this to his child.

It matters not if he was pagan, Lutheran, Christian or whatever...if the person is that easily manipulated into maiming someone then they have some serious issues.

Poor kid.

I meant fanatical Christians etc would jump on the chance to say things like "Satan worshiper" etc because of the pentagram as a lot of them are very ignorant towards the pentagram etc.

If the man were a Christian and did the cross on the child's back, pagans would indeed be jumping on the band wagon as well. For me, he is just a human being, distrubed and I am thankful that the son was not hurt, or worse or killed.

A very low number of pagans maybe, but most pagans aren't like that.

I don't know what the laws are there, but I hope he get's charged enough to put him away for a long time.

And that poor kid. At his age he will most certainly remember this.

The scars are not only on his back, but also in his mind. Damn.

Not sure what good throwing him in jail would do. Clearly he is mentally ill.

I wonder what kind of holy day requires "innocent blood be spilled"... Maybe he needs a pentagram carved into his back too, but this time with a rusty hedge pruner.

Poor kid.

Whats scary i the fact the guy looks normal.

It also annoys me when morons like this then give the pentagram even more bad publicity that it doesn't need.

Some religious fanatics will be all over this. :td:

Normal is the new scary.

The most rabid insane psychos rarely look like this >>

They look more like Christian Bale in American Psycho>>

Regarding the pentagram, if it is written/turned upside down it is a symbol of sinister ocult rituals.

Like this, were the points of the pentagram goes upward like horns.

And if used in white magic, pagan rituals it the other way, like this>>

At least that is how I understand it.

The inverted one is also associated with male energies and the God of the hunt in pagan terms. The pentagram was also firstly used by sumerians and had an astology meaning.

It's a very intresting symbol if you research it. Mostly has nice meanings and represents positive things.

The inverted one has taken on a similar "reputation" to the swastika. Again another sybol which actually had a nice menaing and positiveness.

Nor are the vast majority of Christians, or anybody for that matter. We may be a primitive, harsh and warlike species with lots of inner irrational things to deal with....yet....most of us strive to be decent, loving human beings.
