Ealdwita Posted December 17, 2012 #2 Share Posted December 17, 2012 (edited) Amazing pics, Jgirl. Dark, wet and dismal here at the moment, so I've drawn the curtains and am ignoring it! We do get a bit of snow now and again.....2009...... That's daughter #3 (Tatyana) riding Argent in the foreground and me on old Ishmael (sadly now deceased) bringing up the rear. The pic was taken by Mrs.Ealdwita from the warmth of the Landrover! She doesn't ride either! She did bring us a nice, hot flask of coffee, if I remember rightly though. JGirl Posted December 17, 2012 Author #8 Share Posted December 17, 2012 here are a couple pics of the ranch. we had to sell and move back to town because my partner was too often away on business and i couldn't keep the place going on my own. first pic - Heidi the morgan and Obie the peruvian this pic was taken as i was getting them back to the paddocks for feeding. good old 'treasure' in the foreground. that mare was 27 i think, and she ruled all the younger horses. like a grandmother that took no crap - even the alpha horse didn't mess with her and he was a jerk to everyone.
Indiogene Posted December 17, 2012 #9 Share Posted December 17, 2012 Thanx for the free lattes, JGirl. My local weather is mild, sunny skies with bits of cloudiness over the mountains and no snow on the ground. The one Christmas/Holiday song best describes what it's like to be in a warmer climate in this time of year cracks me up.

JGirl Posted December 17, 2012 Author #22 Share Posted December 17, 2012 Beautiful!! I think Canada is like Norway in it's wildlife/nature. some parts are, but a lot of british columbia is warmer climate too. i happen to be in the interior which is a much higher elevation than, say, vancouver. where i'm from in ontario (at the ny state border) they get a tremendous amount of snow!
