Father Christmas is about to squeeze down chimneys with his sack of presents for children. But many cultures have a different version of the mystery visitor at night - and it's often a sinister one. Here are five examples.

I heard of some of these versions of Santa. But my Santa is wonderful. He is the only guy I know who is willing to crawl down a chimney in the middle of a cold night leave me awesome gifts and asks for nothing but cookies and milk in return.
