Provocative clothing invites attacks?

"Just yucky."

Well the case is closed then. I regret trying to make my case, in light of this unbeatable statement. ;)

Don't feel bad! I find my own nudity yucky.

Question for everyone! What can men do to not become rape victims?

Thank you. Other than you, I still haven't heard anyone address my post. So, what? Just ignore a point to get across how wicked women are and how they tempt men into doing something they KNOW is wrong?

Nothing makes rape ok or acceptable or anything but a horrendous crime.

Also nudity is just yucky :P and some of the 'sexy' clothing women wear nowadays, yucky. Not my style.

True, yes i have seen some clothing like that, some times hardly any clothes, boobs popping out, lots of leg showing, they just want attention.

Men get raped right on the streets just like women, they're just less likely to report it.

I don't like it when women report a rape, police come and search the area for the rapist but few days later she says she made it up.

The New Richard Nixon, on 02 January 2013 - 07:00 PM, said:

Drunk men and drugs sometimes fuel it too

And so do drunk women and drugs.

We all know what happens. A man and a woman get absolutely blathered in a night club. She starts drunkenly coming onto the man saying that she wants to go back to his place for mad, passionate sex.

The two then stumble back to his house and have drunken sex on the bed, but are so drunk they forgot to use (or just couldn't be bothered) to use protection. They then fall asleep.

In the morning the woman wakes up with a splitting headache, sees herself lying naked in a strange bed next to a strange man, and she can't find her knickers (that's if, of course, she happened to be wearing any in the first place).

She then goes to the cops saying that she has just been raped even though she was so rat-faced she can't even remember what happened. The cops arrest the man and put him on trial. She automatically gets her identity hidden from the public whilst his face is plastered all over the television news. Then, even after being found not guilty, this innocent man then has to move away from his neighbourhood because the neighbours still believe he is a rapist even having been found not guilty.

And he suffers all this even though it was HER who practically dragged HIM to bed after she drank too many Bacardi Breezers.

"The would-be robber was eventually released, with Zajak saying he had learned his lesson.

When police arrived to question Zahjac, she said: 'What a b******. Yes, we had sex a couple of times. But I bought him new jeans, gave him food and even gave him 1,000 roubles when he left."

LOL!

Women do dress sexy to feel sexy

Most young women on a night out dress up in skimpy outfits to get men's attention.

Men want women looking at them, so do women of course. Does this mean someone should get raped because they want to look good?

I want to walk down a dark alleyway at 1am with £100 in my wallet. Does this mean I should get mugged just because I want to carry a load of money with me at night? No, of course it doesn't. However, using a bit of commonsense, I choose NOT to walk down a dark alleyway at 1am with a load of money in my wallet because I might get mugged.

It's just a shame that there are so many women out there who can't use the same commonsense and not walk down dark alleyways or lonely roads dressed in hot pants and boob tubes.

Why should commonsense be applied in one case but not in another?

http://www.dailymail...tincts-men.html

The first thing that must be said is that it's a shame we can't read the entire essay ....... perhaps the priest criticises men in it too. If there's anyone here who can read Italian and could translate the very small piece shown in the article, that would be great!

But the part that has outraged so many people is where he states that women wearing tight and provocative clothing only have themselves to blame if they get attacked or even killed by their partners. I feel very ambivalent about this. On the one hand I believe that everyone should be able to wear what they want, when they want; nobody should ever be attacked or abused in any way because of what they are wearing ....... BUT ....... at the same time it's no use pretending that what we wear has no effect on others. For women to believe they can walk down the street with hardly any flesh covered and think they will always be safe is simply naive at best, and yes, at worst provocative. Speaking very generally, it seems that men like women to look sexy, they like to have a sexy looking partner, BUT ...... when a woman in very little clothing is attacked there seems to be a collective shrug of the shoulders and a deafening silence(from men)., as if it was only to be expected.

I won't say any more for now ....... what do others think?

There are a lot of men out there who will treat a trollop like a trollop.

Is it right? no.

Is it rape? yes, unless thats what she wants. Consent must always come first no matter how she's dressed.

Consent must always comes first no matter how she's dressed.

That still does not take away the fact that women put themselves at less risk of being raped if they don't go out in tarty clothing.

Mugging someone is wrong, but someone who walks down an alleyway carrying loads of money is putting themselves at greater risk of getting mugged. So most people choose not to do it. That much is commonsense. Just don't do it.

Yet is seems that the same commonsense is not applied to women who choose to walk down dark alleyways late at night dressed as tarts. If someone says to women "Don't walk around at night on your own dressed up as a tart and that way you cut the risk of being mugged" we are treated to silly responses like "But women should be free to walk around at night dressed as they like without having to feel as though a man will jump out and rape them". Yet I should be free to walk down a dark alleyway with loads of money in my pocket, but I choose not to because I run a greater risk of being mugged as a result. It's just the way things are. So, using the same logic, women should start being more careful about what they wear at night and stop walking down dark alleyways in very short skirts and see-through tops. That way they will reduce their chances of getting raped.

Show me numbers linking 'tarty clothing' and 'rape'.

Kind of back to what the priest said.

'Let's ask ourselves. Is it possible that men have all gone mad at one stroke? We don't think so.

'The core of the problem is in the fact that women are more and more provocative, they yield to arrogance, they believe they can do everything themselves and they end up exacerbating tensions,'

'How often do we see girls and even mature women walking on the streets in provocative and tight clothing?

'Babies left to themselves, dirty houses, cold meals and fast food at home, soiled clothes.'So if a family ends up in a mess and turns into crime (a form of violence which should be condemned and punished firmly) often the responsibility is shared,'

I am not so sure he is speaking of gals going out to nightclubs. I think he's speaking of women in general. And of more than just how they are dressing. It seems to me in general he is slamming women for not humbling down, modesting up, and tending to their children and kitchens.

No, but their penises apparently are.

I find it quite ironic that, even though you're always the first one to come out with the word "misogynist", you're actually coming across as the most sexist person on this thread. A misandrist is what I suppose I could describe you as.
