About 25-30 of them could be considered close enough to the Romanov blood-line to become Tsar. Prince Michael of Kent who is the grandson of the Grand Duchess Elena Vladimirovna is an associate member of the group and Prince Philip Duke of Edinburgh (not a member), is the great-nephew of the last Tsarina and whose DNA was used to identify the bodies of Tsarina Alexandra Fyodorovna (Alix of Hesse) and her children in 2008/9.
