Fields of Barley (poem)

Stonecoldvampzy

Recommended Posts

The fields of barley were in bloom,

Clearly visible from within in my room,

You were there with me,

And there was no place I'd rather be,

Night and day we’d spend in there,

Without a worry without a care,

Life was ours and we knew it,

But then we changed through it,

Stupid fights would start to rise,

Loud enough for everyone to hear our cries,

You ran out the door,

I slammed it shut once more,

Little did I know this would be the last time I’d see you,

And if I only knew what was to be,

I’d have run after you to save you from,

All the horror that was to come,

Now I’m left behind here,

With just a memory I hold so dear,

You’re still on my mind after all this time,

With every breath and every chime.
