Got to admit Test Bear that I thought this one was pretty hard to get into, although I have decided to give it another go and its improving. I prefer Stephen King's other works e.g. It and The Stand

Am halfway this book and I have to agree on Emmy here... very hard to get through...

King's older work is way better than this one... Normally I finish a King novel in two, three days tops...

With this one I feel relieved when I fought my way through another chapter...

I will finish the book though.. especially now Emmy says it's getting better....

Though I have not read this one, I agree that Mr King has lost the plot of late...

Ok I have read a few Of Steven Kings books and I can't say that he is one of my favorite Authors . Infact the Green mile books would be the only one I enjoyed or even understood.

Cujo was just wierd.

Rose Madder started off well but he must of had a deadline to meet.

I like Stephen Kings books particularly Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption, The Body a.k.a. Stand By Me, The Green Mile and The Stand. I gotta admit for me his best works are his short stories like Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption and The Body.

If you want to read a good Stephen King book, may I recommend Dreamcatcher, The Talisman, Black house.

I lay on my bed and start reading his books and hours later i look up and realize that he has captured my attension like no other writer can. when i finish, i feel wonderful.

Actually all his books are great, I agree with you CASTOR when you said he 'captures your attention like no other author can'. He has way of writing that does captivate the reader making them feel for the characters, seeing the story through their eyes.

I've read all but six of Stephen Kings books, I am currently reading Froma Buick 8. I would agree it is a little dry but I still wont put it down. My favorites happen to be The Dark Tower series, followed by Dreamcatcher, Pet Sematary and Hearts in Atlantis.
