You make no sense on deafened ears The sound of my sobbing breaking heart Drowns all your historical rambling Artist and Literati, Poet, Evangelist Politician and Guru too Endless meandering changing Nothing, exept for you Time takes life in a rolling barrel plummeting down the hill Eventually to crash and smash Filled or empty, it will still And life no more No chore no aim no goal Over and spent What then to die with what? purpose? I didn't see any silver lining but I still feel even if unstated there is a sense of hope to this piece. I also am reminded of the following Metric lyrics: when the scream becomes a yawn I'll shut up and carry on.
