What’s it like to have dreams fulfilled

To see fruition in your deeds

To smile and laugh

Tell me, I have forgotten

Thoughts not memories I have

Of years flown by

Where I know I knew these feelings

Like drafts in a dusty room

I feel their presence

And yet

I have no connection.

You make no sense on deafened ears

The sound of my sobbing breaking heart

Drowns all your historical rambling

Artist and Literati, Poet, Evangelist

Politician and Guru too

Endless meandering changing

Nothing, exept for you

Time takes life in a rolling barrel plummeting down the hill

Eventually to crash and smash

Filled or empty, it will still

And life no more

No chore no aim no goal

Over and spent

What then to die with what? purpose?

I really like this and it feels like a familiar wavelength to read this.

I didn't see any silver lining but I still feel even if unstated there is a sense of hope to this piece.

I also am reminded of the following Metric lyrics: when the scream becomes a yawn I'll shut up and carry on.

But you should really check out the whole song if you've time because it too is of the same wavelength.

Well done with this one too. Your poems are deep.

Thank you curious, Prof T, Stills and greywolf for taking time to read and for your comments on this one.

Hey I believe; no thought, action or idea is original, somewhere there is a wee monkey in some other Dimension, typing away on some typewriter this very same verse that I have written! Metric I will google, thanks for reading.
