Still Waters Posted January 10, 2013 #1 Share Posted January 10, 2013 The early bird may catch the worm, but it seems the late arrival has to settle for, well, a broken bit of twig. Still, this raven appeared to be making the best of the situation – lying on its back and playing with its new toy. The strange bird-brained behaviour was spotted by Jens Buddrich, 62, at a park in Schleswig, Germany. http://www.dailymail...ng-new-toy.html I've never seen a bird doing that before!
Grandpa Greenman Posted January 11, 2013 #2 Share Posted January 11, 2013 (edited) I had a parakeet that used to do that with a twist tie. He would role on his back and bend it up with his feet. Edited January 11, 2013 by Darkwind

Yinarchy Posted January 12, 2013 #7 Share Posted January 12, 2013 As a child, I had a talking crow that recognized us, calld us by name, said, "I love you" and "So what?" when it was in trouble for things like taking the clothes pins off the line so the laundry fell in the dirt. It flew free all day and roosted in the basement at night. At daybreak it would yell, "Ella, it's 12 o'clock!" It tormented our grey fox by pulling its tail-- and vice versa, until the crow had no tail feathers.
