Belial

I was photographing the night sky and this image was amongst others i had taken, i had it on a long exposure time as i was taking star images but the clouds kept spoiling my fun.

I called it spark, because it's like a massive spark.

It annoys me when people say "Bug", so I'm going to say "bug"> :D It does look rather like an insect on the lens of the Camera.

Its an insect on the camera lens superimposed over a crack in the space-time continuum.

I have no idea, but I can say that it looks a good deal closer to the lens than the sky behind it.

Would you be able to post the original photo without cropping or resizing?

I have no idea what it is, but it’s not a bug.

Starting with the fact that it has only 4 “legs”, too smooth for bug legs, anatomy is wrong even for a crushed bug and Belial would notice a crushed bug on the lens etc.

I guess it only looks solid because of long exposure. But what it is, I can’t even guess.

I too would like to see the original image. might give clues as to the source of the shape in question. Long exposures can be tricky for a variety of reasons.

It looks like hair or lint on the camera lens to me.
