sarah_444 Posted February 17, 2013 #184 Share Posted February 17, 2013 I thought I had nothing for mist, but just remembered an old one I had on facebook so I dug it up. The dog we found on our porch today. She hasn't sat still since we brought her in! Right now she's doing circles around the kitchen to avoid confrontation with my very curious dog and cat. lol
+ouija ouija Posted February 17, 2013 #185 Share Posted February 17, 2013 The tortoise is the stray in this photo. I don't know how far he'd come but no-one in the street claimed him.

sarah_444 Posted February 18, 2013 #190 Share Posted February 18, 2013 Sarah, did that little dog literally just turn up on your doorstep? Will you keep her if no-one claims her? I don't know yet, she's so sweet though! I came home late this afternoon and she was walking around on the porch. Sat out there with her for a bit to see if anyone was out looking for her but she wouldn't stop shivering so we brought her in and fed her. I think she must not live too far so I'm going to check with some of my other neighbours tomorrow to see if anyone recognises her. My cat is p***ed right off with me. He looks like a little bronze statue! This is Loki my "almost" stray gecko that I adopted a few months ago. He's still a bit under weight but he's slowly getting better.

Anyway, didn't get stung because I used a zoom lense. SNIP Yep they count. The word "animal" comes from the Latin word animalis, meaning "having breath".[1] In everyday colloquial usage, the word often refers to non-human members of kingdom Animalia. Sometimes, only closer relatives of humans such as mammals and othervertebrates are meant in colloquial use.[2] The biological definition of the word refers to all members of the kingdom Animalia, encompassing creatures as diverse as sponges, jellyfish, insects and humans.[3] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Animal
