Behind the Eclipse

Ultima Weapon

Recommended Posts

It flew in from nothingness

So it would appear.

I know not it's genesis

But it's existance I knew.

The black buzzing that scurried in the light

Was it in the light or near it?

It fell appearing to rise

Eclipsing the three.

The light struck it's side

It was black from the start.

Even blackness so small casts a shadow

The likes of which shown three.

On both sides was darkness

On both sides were light.

Looking to lights remnant

Darkness covered nearly all.

Twas merely the three of shadow

Gray reflection of black.

Intimidation found in reflections

Both darkness and light.

Three reflection in darkness

One reflection in light.

The darkness overcomes all

The light commanded by darkness direct.

Though when gazing upon the source

That which casts the shadow.

The black was but one

The light overcame as three.

The black scurried away

Light came into such being.

Though light appear as one

Behind the eclipse there is three.

"Gazing upon the source" is an interesting deus ex machina.

The battle was interesting. Are the stages of the battle in reference to humanity?

Are the stages of the battle in reference to humanity?

I got the concept from a fly that darted a few times in front of a 3 peice light fixture. Happened in less than a second.

However I thought it could bring about an interesting metaphor.

So take what ya want from it, reference to humanity, or reference to a fly on the wall. Your choice.

True art inspired by the normal, fantastic reality we all share but seldom just stop and stare at or into.

I read it again and it was even better seeing the fly fly.

Hopefully something else inspires you soon so we can read later.

I'm kinda new to writing poetry, but I've been reading poetry for years.
