A new friend of mine on here the SOURCE had surgery yesterday and I wish him a speedy recover so he can post some more of his great horror stories.

As well as being a great writer and musician, theSOURCE is also a good friend of mine. I've always admired the way he copes with whatever life throws at him, he's a real inspiration.

I too hope the surgery went well, and I hope he'll be up and walking about again in no time. :)

Wow, I almost missed this thread. Thank you Hilander for posting this and a big thanks to everyone for your prayers, kind thoughts and well wishes. I'm humbled and most appreciative.

Like the song goes:

I'm still alive and well

Still alive and well

Every now and then I know

It's kind of hard to tell

But I'm still alive and well ~ Johnny Winter

I'm so tired.

I'm tired of lying down.

I'm tired of only being allowed to sit in my chair for only a few minutes at a time.

I'm tired of not being able to play my drums.

I'm tired of the pain, but I'm also tired of having to take pain meds.

I'm tired of having to hobble to the bathroom on crutches.

And most of all I'm tired of my cousin's cooking (sorry Jeff).

I NEED TO GET OUT OF HERE!!!

Whew!

I feel better now.

BTW, Jeff's the one typing this for me.

Is he a great guy or what?

You better count your blessings bud.

Your wearing me out, now I'm tired. Can Jeff cook for me?

Absolutely. He also enjoys cutting and styling hair and keeping the house neat and clean.

In fact, if he wasn't such a "playa" he might make a good catch for some lucky lady.

LOL! (you're a good guy Jeff).

Lilly, I didn't catch what Jeff wrote until now that I just re-listened to all the posts.

When he's joking around he usually says "cuz" or "bro", but when he's serious he always says bud.

I guess I'd better listen and count my blessings like he suggested. :unsure2:

I wish you a speedy recovery. I had by-pass surgery myself December of 2010, so I can relate.

Thanks keninsc. We'll have to exchange war stories (surgery stories?) some day.

Well, mine involved a heart attack and a chest opening with what I think was a chain saw......surgical quality, to be sure but still a rose by any other name and all that. I hope you didn't have to deal with that. Oh, and if you did, don't sneeze for six weeks. Just trust me on this one.
