Still Waters Posted March 1, 2013 #1 Share Posted March 1, 2013 A four-legged robot called BigDog now sports an arm powerful enough to lift and throw breeze blocks. Made by US robotics company Boston Dynamics, the machine is backed by the Pentagon. BigDog was designed primarily for military use, and the arm could help soldiers pick up and carry heavy loads. But one robotics expert said the technology's potential was "enormous" for use in other areas, such as search and rescue. http://www.bbc.co.uk...nology-21630212

DKO Posted March 7, 2013 #3 Share Posted March 7, 2013 (edited) Awesome. They just need to teach it to play fetch with itself now. Edited March 7, 2013 by DKO
ReddWolfe Posted March 15, 2013 #4 Share Posted March 15, 2013 That was a little creepy. The only thing that kept me watching it was that I knew that a human was driving it.
