ohio traveler Posted March 3, 2013 #1 Share Posted March 3, 2013 The wife and myself have a baby on the way. Due in June. It's been suggested to us to bank the cord blood in case of future issues. We've been looking into it, but don't know of any personal examples to cite from. The average cost around here is 2k and then around 100 dollars per year for storage. It really seems like a good idea. And odds are, we'll do it. Have any of you fine folks here done it ? Or do you know of others who have done it and found it to be worth the expense ? ninjadude Posted March 3, 2013 #2 Share Posted March 3, 2013 Maybe it's just me, but I see this as a scheme to separate you from your money. Any potential benefits are pretty murky at best. But congratulations anyway!
Ashotep Posted March 4, 2013 #3 Share Posted March 4, 2013 on the baby. Don't know if saving the cord is worth it but you never know.
