Mother launches range of Down Syndrome dolls

Still Waters

Recommended Posts

A mother has created a range of Down Syndrome dolls inspired by her daughter, who is affected by the chromosomal condition.

Connie Feda, 49, from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, set about making a mini-me version of her youngest child, Hannah, after she complained that none of the dolls in a toy catalog looked like her.

If it made the girl happy and it makes other little girls happy then good on her. The Doll actually looks pretty as well. So it's not offensive if you know what I mean.

One of the nicest people I've met had down syndrome. Really nice guy, a lot friendlier and polite than the majority of people I've came across.

What a great idea!

I agree with you coffee.

During the first gulf war I had a job working at a company that had hired a group of downs adults which, I became in charge of, (they cut lengths of power chord for heart defibs) they were really great to work with and pal around with.
