First Time Poster - Ode To The One And Only

Ok, this is my first ever post on the creative section of this forum and I never normally share anything like this with anyone so it is pretty nerve wracking but I hope you enjoy it and take from it what you will.

I've checked out some peoples work on here and I'm nowhere near as good as them but this poem means something to me. It is called: an ode to the one and only.

Ode to the one and only

Her life brings me happiness,

Joy brings her gaze,

Her lips with a tender kiss,

Leaves me smiling for days.

Her hair falls so elegantly,

Like a waterfall down her face,

When I’m in her arms,

I’d rather be in no other place.

I used to have a whole book full, but that is my first ever ode.

My book got ripped up back when I was in school so all my other work is gone.

Never really had the courage to show people anything I do since I don't believe in my ability to write.

This one was written about my girlfriend who I have been with for quite a while.

She believes in me and is the reason I put this up
