A sociopath (see signature above) with sarcasm, hmm?

My additional super power would be photographic memory.

(In the middle of watcing The Betchley Circle. Can't wait to see the ending this Sunday on PBS.)

Hey, I can actually see you :P

No (yes)

.

well hearts, that can only mean one of two things-

1) you're obviously attractive, which means your sanity is questionable, or

2) my superpower's broken! (well it DID say 'made in taiwan' on the pack!)

I hope it's 2, then I can have another one, yaaayy!!

(and not because i'd want to wish insanity on you or anything!)

:-)

this time I think i'm going to go for 'the ability not to whiff slightly of over-boiled cabbage.....'

I'm not cruel or sadistic, I just don't have much of a moral compass, and I can probably count the number of meaningful human connections I have on one hand, literally. If you want to be ironic about this, call it 'severed from attachment'

Hah, you got me beat then.

My count only requires one finger.

I prefer using my index finger to make this count incase anyone thought otherwise.

Although I am aiming for at least being able to count three before it is time for me to shuffle off.

And I will be able to count three as long as I don't make the same mistakes my parents made with me...nothing drastic, but nothing is the problem.

With that said: would love the super power that would allow me to make friends and keep them.

A symptom of borderline is splitting, you will in a second, for some reason no others would rationally, decide to cut someone off. Hard to keep friends when you keep pushing them away or begin dodging their phone calls.

♫ We should of had some friends come over

You know they called so many times

But we were on a long vacation

On an island so far that nobody could find ♫

You know, it's weird. Have you heard that theory that we learn trust and etc. as infants? Well I was seldom, if ever touched at that age, and I think that had at least something to do with it. I'm not saying oh poor me, but I want to make a point. Look at this intellectually; we are SO impressionable as kids, and incredibly vulnerable. When you cry because you're hungry, or you're scared, and you face physical pain for that, you sort of retreat and you just lose every sense of community on any level. It can become a major challenge to accept the help or kindness of others, and in some cases kind gestures just don't process or register all together.

I think one thing many people struggle to understand or entertain is that not everybody elses's minds work like yours. People are delicate; they're tapestries of their upbringings, their cultures, and their convictions.

Yes, there is actual science behind that theory.

Dangers of "Crying It Out"

For many babies in oprhanages in Eastern Europe who were just left in their cribs they developed "autistic-like" symptoms.

Institutional autism

Whatever the damage done by parents, and their effects on us, we can find out what they are and help it, even if we must learn and manage alone if unable to or do not have access to professional services.

I would choose the ability to reach the speed of light.

That way I can slow-down time and do anything I want.
