One of my good friends brought supper to us tonight; homemade lasagna, side salad (with a fig vinaigrette), and garlic toast.   :)

That's okay.   I haven't put a lot about what happened as I am still digesting things myself.

last night i went out to dinner at a steakhouse to send my youngest brother off, he is going on a 4 month backpacking trip on the Appalachian trail. The food was good but the whole time i was sitting there i was thinking of how many people i could feed if i had just picked up the steaks myself and cooked them....lol. I got an 8oz sirloin, salad and brussel sprouts and my bill with a drink was $20. my brothers each got a porter house, their meal was significantly more than mine. Needless to say i wont be going back any time soon and will continute to opt to cook my own meals because eating out is way to expensive.

in comparison to my $20 meal last night. tonight i had ribs, roasted carrots and pinto beans. i fed two people and have enough ribs and carrots for leftovers tomorrow. for that meal i spent around $15.

Sorry to hear you've been sick.   I love to cook and I don't know how to cook for just one or two people.   Guess when my son moves out I'll be having leftovers for days.   LOL
