F3SS Posted April 19, 2013 #426 Share Posted April 19, 2013 It was more a question from looking at the two images posted above, the back packs didn't seem that heavy, and even from these new developments the backpacks from these new suspects don't appear to be that heavy either, I just assumed a pressure cooker full of bits of metal would be heavy enough to be noticable I'm sure it wasn't that much. The amount of nails and bearings needed would only be maybe a few hundred and you could fit that into your front pockets. I'm just guessing but that's still a lot of nails to fire out in every direction.
Daughter of the Nine Moons Posted April 19, 2013 #427 Share Posted April 19, 2013 (edited) Better video http://www.fbi.gov/n...boston-bombings FBI Updates April 18, 2013, 5:00 p.m. EDT Remarks of Special Agent in Charge Richard DesLauriers at Press Conference on Bombing Investigation Our collective law enforcement team has pursued thousands leads and tips. As I said two days ago, we are working methodically and with a sense of urgency to identify those responsible for the bombings. Within the last day or so, through that careful process, we initially developed a single person of interest. Not knowing if the individual was acting alone or in concert with others, we obviously worked with extreme purpose to make that determination... More importantly, it was done to ensure the future safety of the city, the commonwealth and the country. Indeed, through that process, the FBI developed a second suspect. Today, we are enlisting the public’s help to identify the two suspects. After a very detailed analysis of photo, video, and other evidence, we are releasing photos of the two suspects. They are identified as Suspect 1 and Suspect 2. They appear to be associated. Adds some legitimacy to whole thing in my view.

redhen Posted April 19, 2013 #437 Share Posted April 19, 2013 Apparently they are Chechens. Yup. Interesting that one is named Tamerlan, presumably after Tamerlane, the bloody 14th century Muslim conqueror. His Youtube site is still up. Jihad in Boston is an appropriate news title I think. You don't need to be the all tolerant liberal in the face of the reality which is... The reality is these guys are Muslim and these guys are terrorists. Public enemy #1 for over ten years now. You are being naïve. You act as if it's somehow different if they did this on their own or the orders came from the middle east. It isn't. they are terrorists who have killed at least 4 people now, ruined families and just got everybody in Boston to be a prisoner in their own homes until the dlck is found, not to mention the economic impact of shutting down a city for a day. And these days, all terrorists are muslim. If that info turns out not to be true they will still be terrorists and radical Islamists will still be the defacto terrorists of the century, so far.
