EXPLOSION IN WACO, TX

Apparently Fox has dropped the story for now. I couldn't find anything that went into detail yet...too soon. Here's the local news link http://www.wacotrib.com/

Interesting timing, given the Waco Massacre's 20th anniversary is April 19th. The decision to burn them out, likely took place a day or two before, so this event may fall on the actual anniversary of that decision.

The Waco siege lasted for fifty days.

Kind of spooky ...

Interesting.

I had a dream last night about a toxic plant too. I even said to a person "Ah so you're a Texan hey".

Might it be convenient to merge this with this http://www.unexplained-mysteries.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=246437 ?

And yup, sure enough, as I speculated, it hasn't taken long for the Conspiracy industry to crank into action, considering where it was.

It is a friggin fertilizer factory. Explosions happen!

If the conspiracy nuts try to turn this into another nefarious "operation false flag" or whatever nonsense, they are really outdoing themselves.

I just hope it wasn't some simpleton smoking a cigarette... Texas City, anyone?

Yep. Probably just an accident.

Coincidence almost always leads to speculation. I'm not surprised many folks have "conspiracy theories" about the events of the last few days when you look at the dates of previous tragedies. Pretty sad events....

Apparently, (and no I do not have a link) this chemical plant was cited a few years ago for safety violations... So it is certainly more likely (IMO) that this was a tragic (but preventable) accident.

Can't think of many agendas you can push based on a fertilizer plant exploding...

This is a tragic accident :(

Actually it happened in West Texas a town near Waco. What a horrible accident and so many dead. I wish all the injured a speedy recovery and the family of the dead my deepest condolences.

Hopefully just a terrible and tragic accident. During the Plants Safety Audit they considered the only likely accident ("very remote") would be a slight leakage of ammonia into the atmosphere without any effects on the local population or workers. Hmmm - from the BBC:

Anhydrous ammonia

  • Commonly used as fertiliser, injected into the soil
  • Must be stored in high pressure tanks
  • Produces poisonous vapour cloud on exposure to water
  • Forms explosive mixture when combined with air
  • Can cause severe burns to skin in concentrated form

That's uncharactreristic behavior from small town people - not because they are inherently better than their urban cousins, but because everyone knows everyone else and suddenly gaining a 'big screen TV' would not go unnoticed...

Well, when we had all those wildfires here in Texas, we didn't have any looters in MY area, but in one of the bigger towns, Bastrop, they experienced looting pretty bad. Disasters always bring out the best in people, huh?

Seems they're treating this as a crime scene, though sounds like it might have been an accident. Could have been a lot worst though as many of the nearby buildings were closed or had already been cleared out due to the fire. Though given how close residential buildings were to this factory I think there needs to be a very serious look at zoning laws.

I think that's pretty normal in case there might be negiligence involved. labeling it a Crime scene gives the Law enforcement freedom to go over it as much as they like, after all.

This just in: http://www.infowars.com/before-the-blast-west-fertilizers-monsanto-lawsuit/

Before the Blast, West Fertilizer’s Monsanto Lawsuit

As details emerge about the Texas fertilizer plant that was the site of Wednesday’s fatal explosion and fire, a few tidbits can be gleaned from a 2007 lawsuit that the plant’s owners filed against agribusiness giant Monsanto Co.

The suit, filed as a potential class action in U.S. District Court for the western district of Texas, claimed that Monsanto had artificially inflated prices for its herbicide Roundup through anti-competitive actions. The suit did not relate to storing fertilizer, believed to be at the root of Wednesday’s blast.

The suit was filed by Texas Grain Storage Inc. The company now calls itself West Fertilizer Co.

In the suit, the company said that it was started in 1957 as a grain-storage business by the Plasek family in the town of West, Texas. It later built a small fertilizer-blend plant and started selling fertilizer to area farmers.

More information can be found here: http://blogs.wsj.com/corporate-intelligence/2013/04/18/before-the-blast-west-fertilizers-monsanto-lawsuit/

This is interesting...

Do you win the lotto every week you play? The odds were far greater against this happening, when it did, where it did, and how it did.

If the fire wasn't intentional, I wouldn't ignore it. Some things are too obvious to be a conspiracy.
