Man who had his EYEBALLS tattooed

A Brazilian man claims he 'cried ink for two days' after getting his eyeballs tattooed to make them darker.

Tattoo artist Rodrigo Fernando dos Santos, 39, of Sao Paulo, decided to go ahead with the bizarre procedure after having already had 70 per cent of his body covered in ink.

The work involved a special syringe being used to inject the ink into the whites of his eyes.

The irreversible procedure involved using a syringe to inject ink into the sclera - the protective outer layer - of his eyes, 9News reports.

The ink used to inject his eye is believed to be the same used for tattoos on the rest of the body.

Eye specialists have advised against the procedure which some warn can cause inflammation and possibly even vision loss, according to 9News.

Stupid on his part for doing it. Just because you can do something doesn't mean you should.

To each his own I guess, and he's not the first to do it. But my eyes are a bit watery now after reading and seeing that!

Would be interesting to see full front/behind body photos of what all he's had done.

What he looks like externally is a reflection of the problems he has mentally!

Do you even know the man?

Most tattoo for the pleasure of attention and detail to art on their bodies.. to me, many of their tats look the same-_- Or, they find it a meaning to them that reflects a lot of others.

Some people have actual personal meanings that personify individuality.

Mentality may or may not have to do with this man.

Perhaps he had the need to be who he really was on the inside. Nothing wrong with it at all, I think. To me, his body art is very beautiful.

As we all have the right to expressing ourselves-they are our bodies- I don't feel as if people can take it from us.

Everyone expresses things in different ways.

At least he went about it in a legit way.

I remember watching this prison show, Locked Up, and there was an inmate who used ink from a pen and penetrated the eyeball with a needle or what have you, and just let the ink bleed in.

There's nothing wrong with individuality. More power to him.

We are not talking normal tattoo here.

As you have said it is a form of expression and personally I find his tattoo is not an expression of inner beauty, calmness and tranquility within his mind, infact the complete opposite.

Everyone does have the right to express themselves, but this is forcing ones expressions on others, its not as if his face is not in others faces.

I don't know what a normal tattoo could be considered as..

But, he isn't the first to tattoo his eyes.

Perhaps he is at in inner peace.. Some people do find peace with their demons.

While it may seem that he is troubled in his mind, perhaps he just embraces his darker nature as part of a whole?

All I'm saying is that a lot of people have questionable tattoos.. some people tattoo the inside of their lips and eyelids. I wouldn't call them rather crazy(mostly because of what they write is rather shallow.. but hey, it's their choice) and question their peace of mind, because there are a lot of sinister people out there that don't do anything of the like. I'm really not trying to make this all complicated, because we're all entitled to our opinions.

I just think that while his outside is sinister, that does not mean it is a true representation of what his mind is like. Who knows, maybe he just likes how skeletons look like and wishes to be one. We don't know.

Not that many people have demons like that to make themselves tattoo their faces like he has to find inner peace.. but its their choice as you say, but its also a desperate cry for attention, its not exactly subtle.
