It'll be a Photographic Artifact. That's what they always say. A Photographic Artifact. You wait & see.

But wait....I thought NASA and the gubment airbrushed out all evidence of alien spacecraft before posting pics? Did someone get lazy? :w00t:

Look at the incredible details on that spacecraft!

Oh, there aren't any. In fact it's just a blurry blob so it's probably yet another spec on the window.

This is what I would like to see:

The disc-shaped object can be seen emitting strange rainbow-like colourful lights above the Earth's surface in the picture.

Can`t see any of that or this:

"Look carefully at the Nasa photo above and not only will you notice a UFO in it but if your computer screen brightness is higher, you will also notice that there is a glowing aura around the UFO," Scott C Waring of UFO Sightings Daily said in his blog.

No glowing, but a strange object, yes, for the moment.

Quite honestly I'd be p***ed off if photographs/evidence was ever produced from hiding that we had been visited :alien:

UFO does not equate Aliens .... its just Unidentified Flying Objects, the aliens paranoia is now within the acceptable comprehension of the public, no mass hysteria just because there are strange objects in the sky, and that's all it is .... strange unknown objects in the sky, it does not equates intelligent life forms from the galaxy far far away.

In fact if after all these years there are no such incidences of unknown objects caught by cameras out there in outer space, that would be the most illogical of all.

These objects would not be known at all because its just an anomaly, it doesn't happen the same twice nor is expected.

That's the wonder of the new frontiers isn't it ?

Probably just aliens on vacation, nothing crazy like dust specks or light anomalies.

When has there ever been mass hysteria? If any government has proof of alien visitation, then they have no right to deny that information from the people. The government run the country, not decide what we can and cannot know about the universe we live in.

The War of the Worlds is an episode of the American radio drama anthology series The Mercury Theatre on the Air. It was performed as a Halloween episode of the series on October 30, 1938, and aired over the Columbia Broadcasting System radio network. Directed and narrated by actor and future filmmaker Orson Welles, the episode was an adaptation of H. G. Wells's novel The War of the Worlds (1898).

The first two thirds of the 60-minute broadcast were presented as a series of simulated news bulletins, which suggested to many listeners that an actual alien invasion by Martians was currently in progress. Compounding the issue was the fact that the Mercury Theatre on the Air was a sustaining show (it ran without commercial breaks), adding to the program's realism. Although there were sensationalist accounts in the press about a supposed panic in response to the broadcast, the precise extent of listener response has been debated.

In the days following the adaptation, however, there was widespread outrage and panic by certain listeners, who had believed the events described in the program were real.[1] The program's news-bulletin format was described as cruelly deceptive by some newspapers and public figures, leading to an outcry against the perpetrators of the broadcast. Despite these complaints, the episode secured Welles' fame as a dramatist.

There is no proof of alien visitation .... just funny pictures of funny objects that we know not what of caught on camera out there in space.

There is lots of it and not anything that is remotely indicative of aliens .... please read and comprehend.

I found a 6 megapixel version of the pic in the OP. Here's a blow-up of the UFO if anyone is interested.

Hmmm, If it was anything pertaining to aliens I dont think NASA would have posted it, I think its just what some other person said, just a glare or some space junk

There's a few pics from the same series on NASA's website showing something similar.

Here's another:

It's lens flare.

I saw that as well on the NASA website (I presume that is where you got it from). Looks like a refractive pattern to me given the rainbow colouring - typical prism effect.

Agreed.

third_eye, unless you actually work for the government (high up, mind) you have no authority to say with conviction that there is no proof of alien visitation. I am talking about anything that may have been filed away quietly to surface in 50 years or so.

How did I know you were going to bring up The War of the Worlds? Like it says in black and white, the actual extent to public reaction is debated plus... it was a mock of an alien invasion not the introduction of proof of alien life existing. Quite different scenarios, don't you think?

If there was hidden proof, do you think the government is right to hide it? Yes or no, please.

What is there to hide when there is none to hide ?

These pictures of 'inexplicable' objects caught on camera is just what it is .... objects, out there.

It is the property of NASA and nobody has any right to it except NASA, not any single person no matter how high up.

To NASA its just pictures of unknown objects. That is all.

Most probably it's space garbage/debris from all the 'space programs' of the early days ...

There is something to hide. These things are flying over our heads, being witnessed and there's no reaction from those who should be concerned. If they don't know they're here, we have the most incompetent military in the history of human existence. Same for the space program.

Or maybe just most probably it's these :

Space debris, also known as orbital debris, space junk, and space waste, is the collection of defunct objects in orbit around Earth. This includes everything from spent rocket stages, old satellites, fragments from disintegration, erosion, and collisions. Since orbits overlap with new spacecraft, debris may collide with operational spacecraft.

Currently about 19,000 pieces of debris larger than 5 cm are tracked,[1] with another 300,000 pieces smaller than 1 cm below 2000 km altitude.[1] For comparison, ISS orbits in the 300–400 km range and both the 2009 collision and 2007 antisat test events occurred at between 800–900 km.[1]

Most space debris is less than 1 cm (0.39 in), including dust from solid rocket motors, surface degradation products such as paint flakes, and coolant released by RORSAT nuclear-powered satellites. Impacts of these particles cause erosive damage, similar to sandblasting. Damage can be reduced with "Whipple shield", which, for example, protects some parts of the International Space Station. However, not all parts of a spacecraft may be protected in this manner, e.g. solar panels and optical devices (such as telescopes, or star trackers), and these components are subject to constant wear by debris and micrometeoroids. The flux of space debris is greater than meteroids below 2000 km altitude for most sizes circa 2012.[1]
