AlasBabylon Posted May 15, 2013 #1 Share Posted May 15, 2013 (edited) . Whoa ! What's the word for this... chutzpah ?!... or stupidity ! Israel Hints at New Strikes, Warning Syria Not to Retaliate Published: May 15, 2013 " WASHINGTON – A senior Israeli official signaled on Wednesday that Israel was considering further military strikes on Syria to stop the transfer of advanced weapons to Islamic militants, and he warned the Syrian president, Bashar al-Assad, that his government would face crippling consequences if it retaliated against Israel. +and-then Posted May 15, 2013 #3 Share Posted May 15, 2013 Of course the most obvious way to de-escalate is for Syria to STOP handing weapons over the the hezzies. Short of that, I imagine the area around the Lebanese border is about to get really inhospitable

AlasBabylon Posted May 15, 2013 Author #5 Share Posted May 15, 2013 (edited) . Whatever Putin told Netanyahu... apparently it reinforced the jews' chutzpah. I'm curious... why was this post and my other post about Putin deleted ?? Putin and Netanyahu met in Moscow on Tuesday to discuss Syria... the next day, Wednesday, a senior Israeli official threatens Syria. Appears to me Putin told Netanyahu something in secret... something other than we've been told. . Edited May 15, 2013 by AlasBabylon

I've never seen anything as convoluted or sinister as that in my time here, but anything is possible I guess. As to Israelis being "proud" of the actions of their leaders - some are and some not I'd guess. If Israel's choice is to stand by and watch anti aircraft missiles that can kill their pilots over Lebanon, Syria or even Israel OR stop them from being handed to those who want to use them against Israel...not much of a choice. Israel has shown restraint in dealing with Assad. Truth is they probably would prefer to keep the devil they know rather than the Muslim Brotherhood Al Qaeda mongrel that is coming. In either case it is going to be bad for the region and REALLY BAD for Assad if Israel gets attacked as a result of destroying these weapons shipments. AlasBabylon Posted May 15, 2013 Author #14 Share Posted May 15, 2013 . Here is something both bizarre and interesting from a couple of years ago. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/russia/8509670/All-female-sect-worships-Vladimir-Putin-as-Paul-the-Apostle.html The "news" story = there is a weird sect in Russia who thinks Putin is St Paul. Now... don't take that story literally... instead... think about the symbolic undertones. St Paul was an enemy of Christianity... until God gave him a vision on the "road to Damascus." .
