Clearly they are scandals Ninja. The President commented on them as such and top ranking government officials have quit in disgrace.

Even if the information that led to these scandals was false... the amount of press coverage has made them in to real scandals now.

When I retired from the US Army, I went back to Iraq as a contractor for 1-year to get some decent money for once. Was not soon after I came back, the IRS was doing an audit on me. They spent God knows how much money to find out that I owed them 25.00 USD and it was from a prior years taxes. Just a fluke I got selected for audit? Do not think so.

Politics - I am a registered voter but after many years of following politics, I have come to realize that the entire Federal Government is broken and cannot be fixed in its current state. If the average citizen only could see what I have seen with over 30 years military and civilian service - they would revolt. Does not matter what party is in power either.

Just the constant waste of tax payers money. As an example, if living in Germany, the government will allow you to use your housing allowance to pay your foreign home purchase for ten years. After 10 years, you sell the house and keep the profit. You can also rent the house after ten years and get another one the tax payers will pay on for ten years. This is just one example of quite a few I know. The rabbit hole is very deep.

I agree. I was a single soldier in Germany and got totally hosed. One married soldier I knew sent his wife home and lived like a King for 2 years in a house he totally trashed, and had trash litterally piled to the roof in some of the corners. The single soldiers had to live 2 to a tiny room and have weekly cleanlyness inspections, as well as being "available' at all hours to do scrub work which the married guys did not have to do. Sucked.

There are a lot of loose ends the military could clean up and save money on.

I find that most people who support Obama and his globalist/liberal/socialist views, are cut out of the same cloth. They've had mommy and daddy pay for everything, from their cars to their college education. They've never held a job, nor have they ever paid taxes. None of them live in the real world. They have never had to work for anything in their lives.

Take my Grandpa, for instance. He worked three jobs and went to engineering school at night! And he had three kids to support! He later when on to work for NASA during the late 60s and early 70s. He was very instrumental in the Apollo program. He was one of my heroes. He worked hard all his life, and made something of himself. That's what America used to be about.

If you listen to his speeches, watch him apologize around the world for the horror that the US is and witness his destruction of teheh middle class, just as outlined by Saul Alinsky, you'll lose that view pretty quickly. He is what he is and what he was brought up to be and I don't know why people are so unwilling to view the man by his actions and his words.

Well, it was my grandpa I was talking about, but I get what you mean. Most likely that's what he thinks. But my grandpa, my hero, didn't think the government should have to take care of his family. He worked hard to make something of himself, and made sure his family was taken care of.

He was a great man. And his type his sadly needed in this world...

There still are lots of people around who are like your grandpa. It is just that they other team has even more, and they control most media and education.

Personally, I believe Everyone should have to work for Everything that they get. People on SS probably should be excused, because that is money that they paid in. But people on Federal Aid should be required to do some kind of community service to pay for what they get. Getting stuff/money for nothing simply breeds more desire to get more for nothing. If you give people a free phone, they will pretty soon want a free computer, and then free TVs and then free cars, and then free homes. The greed of those raised in greed is unlimited.
