Morgan Freeman Has a Hilarious Excuse for Dozing During Interview

Morgan Freeman set the Internet atwitter this week when he briefly fell asleepduring a live TV interview alongside Michael Caine in support of their new filmNow You See Me.

But, as it turns out, there's a perfectly logical — and awesome — explanation for Freeman's doze-off. Here's what the actor had to say in a Facebook postlate Thursday night:

Regarding my recent interview, I wasn't actually sleeping. I'm a beta tester for Google Eyelids and I was merely taking the opportunity to update my Facebook page.

Now it all makes sense. And if you missed it, here below is the original video clip from Freeman and Caine's interview with Tacoma Fox affiliate Q13. Watch as he drifts off then quickly regains consciousness and tries to feign interest in Caine's rambling story about magic tricks:

Age has nothing to do with it. Falling asleep during work meetings is mandatory for some people. Me being one of those people. :P

A worked for a company once which had meetings all the time, I was made to sit at the front because I was known for falling asleep. Nothing is more embarrassing than your head rolling all over the place while you suddenly realise you have nodded off and once I shouted out "yes", the look I got off the speaker, oh dear!

I would have loved to have been there to see that. I would have died laughing.

I don't do the bobble-head thing. I just start snoring... very loudly I might add.
