Simbi Laveau Posted June 10, 2013 #1 Share Posted June 10, 2013 (edited) http://www.themortalinstrumentsmovie.com/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Mortal_Instruments:_City_of_Bones I found this while searching what Aiden Turner is up to . Both he and Jonathan Rhys Meyers are in this (nom nom nom) ,which means I will want to see it. It's about a demon kidnapping a woman ,which made me think of the Rachel Morgan series . Has anyone read the books ? Should I read them ? Edited June 10, 2013 by Simbi Laveau
Simbi Laveau Posted August 17, 2013 Author #2 Share Posted August 17, 2013 Now I'm seeing the TV spots for it. I looked on imdb, and there are two more movies in pre production

Keel M. Posted August 19, 2013 #4 Share Posted August 19, 2013 I've read and loved the books, looking forward to the movie/s. Hope they translate well onto the screen. After what I just experienced over the weekend, I'd say don't count on it.
libstaK Posted August 25, 2013 #5 Share Posted August 25, 2013 After what I just experienced over the weekend, I'd say don't count on it. I'm probably going to get bagged from here into the next Kingdom for this but ... I really enjoyed it, too much editing though, if you hadn't read the books you would wonder what the point was to some scenes.

The Mule Posted August 26, 2013 #7 Share Posted August 26, 2013 Never read the books (my guess is they're for teens) but saw the movie yesterday. Average.
WillowWolf Posted August 27, 2013 #8 Share Posted August 27, 2013 I hated that movie -_-' I mean, if you're watching it as just a movie, it was really good. But, as someone who's read the entire series 4 times over, I didn't like it. If you've watched the movie, I strongly recommend reading the book. Cuz honestly, as always, The Book Was WAY Better.

I'll watch it when it comes to netflix tho Actually it's more of a Buffy the Vampire Slayer kinda thing. Lots of Shadowhunters fighting to save the world against Demons and Downworlders and Valentine's Circle.

Keel M. Posted September 3, 2013 #12 Share Posted September 3, 2013 I saw the movie yesterday. I did not wonder at the point of any scenes. I enjoyed the movie so much I decided to buy the book. I don't understand why people who read books and expect movies based on them to be of the same calibre. It's not EVER going to happen, so save your money and complaints.
