Raptor Witness Posted June 17, 2013 #1 Share Posted June 17, 2013 (edited) Phones were monitored and fake internet cafes set up to gather information from allies in London in 2009 - The Guardian, Sunday 16 June 2013 Apparently the NSA's sister in the UK was engaging in real time analysis of other G20 members. This appears to point to the remark Snowden made in his initial interview, where he said, "They quite literally can watch your ideas form as you type." Good job Snowden ... git 'em Edited June 17, 2013 by Raptor Witness
Raptor Witness Posted June 17, 2013 Author #2 Share Posted June 17, 2013 (edited) In the United States, we're not afraid to stand up to our secret police. Is that the way it is in Great Britain? I sometimes wonder, with all the cameras you have everywhere, if the people have any say whatsoever. If the government here put as many cameras as you have, the rednecks would shoot them out with guns so that they could not function. At least I hope we would. Is it still a monarchy over there? Is it okay to spy on foreign dignitaries invited to a conference? Shouldn't there be some safe place to discuss issues?
