Space Commander Travis Posted June 21, 2013 #2 Share Posted June 21, 2013 "The year 2009 saw the second highest number of reports recorded by the MoD - totalling 643 - beaten only by the 750 sightings in 1978, the year Close Encounters Of The Third Kind (pictured) was released in UK cinemas". So much for those who say the UFO Phenomenon is dying. What this shows, of course, is how effective Nick Pope was at suppressing evidence when he was in charge of the MOD's X-Files Desk. And therefore proves beyond doubt that he was an Establishment stooge whose job was to suppress the truth, not get to the bottom of it.
psyche101 Posted June 21, 2013 #3 Share Posted June 21, 2013 Wow, if the number really is higher, then the quality of description has dropped dramatically. Not more saucers landing, with ET hopping out to collect samples these days, it seems the bar has been dropped. From the link: The stories from the 60's were much more intense and exciting.
