Grandpa Greenman Posted June 21, 2013 #1 Share Posted June 21, 2013 (edited) May your day and night be filled with Joy, mead and other groovy hippie kind of things. Winter solstice here. Wet, cold, and perfect for curling up in front of the fire and watching some TV

Winter Summer Posted June 22, 2013 #9 Share Posted June 22, 2013 I didn't realize this really was a time to celebrate. It was just kind of fun to respond to "Blessings of Summer and Winter" by Winter Summer. For those of you who do celebrate, enjoy.

Mr Walker Posted June 23, 2013 #11 Share Posted June 23, 2013 TV? I thought you were married, Walker? Compromise. My wife likes Midsommer Murder. Also we broke it up with another appropriate programme, "Death in paradise" about a modern English detective working on a Carribean island and lamenting the heat, while solving murders, Poirot style. Saturday and Sunday nights are our TV nights. The best programmes are on then, and if nothing is good we get a dvd and sit back with popcorn and chocolate. Only watch ABC or SBS or satellite television stations, so don't have to worry about Ad breaks. This is more a winter thing than a summer one. It gets dark here abut 5 pm mid winter and about 9.30 pm mid summer, so we are out doors more/later, in summer.
