Kowalski Posted July 1, 2013 #4 Share Posted July 1, 2013 So many to choose from.... 1) Why did the Bronte sisters have to die so young? 2) Why did Elizabeth and Mary, Queen of Scots, have to be enemies? They should have got together, and been friends and allies, and told all those male yahoos where to stick it.... 3) Wish the guys at the Alamo had won against Santa Anna..... Clarakore Posted July 1, 2013 #5 Share Posted July 1, 2013 (edited) While there is really nothing to hate the following could be considered tragedies. The destruction of the Library at Alexandria, of course. That NATO troops did nothing as Croats ethnically cleansed the Serbs from Krajina. The premature death of Lady Di. We cannot stop at just three... The Children's Crusades. The Germanic tribes pushing the Celts off of almost all their lands and pushing them into the corners of Europe. The Holocaust of not just the Jews but also the Slavs, socialists, homosexuals, Jehovah Witnesses, and everyone else that died in the concentration camps. Anne Frank could have been a brilliant voice in the literary world. Edited July 1, 2013 by The world needs you

The destruction of the Cathars, the destruction of the Templars, and the Inquisition all seem to be loosely related. All tragedies as are the witch hunts in general.
