I would not be surprised if the modern term "toll" is somehow related to the ancient term "troll" Have you ever watched It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia with Danny DeVito? Yeah, I've seen quite a few here but they're all the homeless that refuse to abid by rules that shelters have regarding alcohol and drugs being prohibited.
