Here's another one from his new CD (which I have):

Hank Williams, Jr "Keep The Change":

http://m.youtube.com/index?&desktop_uri=%2F#/watch?v=1zlpvxgCEHc

Some of the lyrics:

I'll keep my freedom

I'll keep my guns

Try to keep my money

And my religion too

Try to keep on workin'

Try to keep on smilin'

I will keep my christian name

And y'all can keep the change

I'll keep my heroes

Pictures on the wall

I'll keep my family safe

You bluff when I call

I'm gonna keep my big v8

Keep my friends the same

Keep the government outta my business

And y'all can keep the change

This country's sure as hell been goin' down the drain

We know what we need

We know who to blame

United socialist states of america

How do you like that name?

I'll keep the usa and y'all can keep the change

Adam Kokesh was arrested last night:

HERNDON, VA 10 JULY 2013)— On the evening of Tuesday, 09JUL13, at approximately 7:45 PM, a combination of US Parks Police (an arm of the DHS) raided Adam Kokesh’s residence. Local Herndon police assisted in the armed invasion. The officers used a battering ram to knock in the door after two knocks, and did not announce that they had a warrant. Immediately after breaking down the door, a flash bang grenade was deployed in the foyer.

Numerous police vehicles, including a light armored vehicle and two low-flying helicopters barricaded Adam’s street. More than 20 armored SWAT team members surrounded the house, as well as a number of detectives, and plainclothes officers. Assault rifles were aimed on all members of the team as they were handcuffed without being told why they were detained. Masked and armored police in full “Storm Trooper” gear flooded in and ransacked the residence. The team was cordoned in a front room, while Adam was pulled aside for questioning.

Over the course of the next five hours, the police searched every corner of the house with canine units and blueprints to the house obtained prior to the search. All officers refused to speak to the crew while they we being detained. They confiscated cell phones and personal items with force. Throughout the ordeal, the police repeatedly showed a volatile desire to initiate aggressive, forceful conduct with detainees. At one point, Adam politely requested to use the restroom and was kicked by the officer forcing him to sit handcuffed on the floor. After hours of determined attempts, the safe was forced open and all items inside were confiscated. Adam was arrested and his crew were told he was being brought to the Herndon Police department overnight. Well after midnight, police officers cleared the house.

Fairfax County Adult Detention Center has stated that it has Adam in custody.

The ADAM VS THE MAN Team will be continuing production on the podcast and the Youtube channel as long as Adam remains imprisoned for an act of civil disobedience. We will continue to spread the message of liberty, self ownership, and the non-aggression principle regardless of the government’s relentless attacks on our operation. We will continue to combat its desperate attempts to crush a worldwide, revolutionary shift in the people’s understanding of the state’s illegitimacy—after all, good ideas don’t require force.

Police searched the Northern Virginia home of libertarian activist Adam KokeshTuesday evening and took him into custody, according to a news release posted on Kokesh’s Web site.

Kokesh, a former Marine, was held overnight at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, charged with possession of schedule I or II drugs while in possession of a firearm, said Lt. Steve Elbert, a spokesman for the Fairfax County Sheriff’s Office.

Adam Kokesh smokes "marijuana" as some of us probably know. We discuss illegal things on this forum every day, can't discuss that plant though.

Cannabis, the unfunded miracle drug and cure for cancer and vastly superior medicine for a wide range of diseases is a Schedule 1 drug in the US because it would eviscerate half of the pills the medical industry pushes on us in a matter of years if it wasn't.

Kokesh recently admitted he committed four felonies with that loaded shotgun. Probably not the best idea to incriminate himself like that. He should have kept his mouth shut but he was under a lot of pressure from supporters to save face when the armed march on DC was cancelled. I said in April/May how dumb that ideas was, and the result we have today proves it.

His roommate stated that they knew the cops would be coming for them because of the video, so why on earth would he have drugs in his house?? Not even a moron is that stupid.....

I don't think it's out of the question for the drugs to have been planted to discredit him.

Coming for him, and coming for him in the middle of the night with helicopters and a tank and blueprints and breaking the door down and everything else as described are two different things. And misdemeanor possession of some marijuana is small potatoes in the grand scheme of things...vs. committing four felonies as he claimed to do while loading a shotgun in the magic city. I presume the search warrant listed the firearm as the item to be searched for. I presume they had a warrant because if not they're going to be toast in court.

Well....as Britney pointed out...that was the extreme flaw with his "armed march". If you participated in that abomination....you would have been breaking a loooong standing law on the national capitol.....do that and then....not only would you be facing a felony....but would be legally stricken from owning a firearm.....I think this is why it was culled and tossed to the side.

Not a well thought out idea.

This "possible" narcotic" charge sounds "created" to me. They needed something to have a cascading effect of discredit. I personally do not care if someone wants to take a trip and never leave the farm....I have had a few fungus appetizers myself over my many years....sounds contrived to me...and if true...well...as stated in another thread....I googled "Who gives a ****?....my name was not in the results.

This guy...right or wrong by method....is trying to draw attention to the erosion of our Constitutional rights....and he is accomplishing it....perhaps not so wisely...but he is getting the media to pay attention.

The prob is....the media is now a propaganda mouthpiece of the regime....this will not end well....

I agree.

I don't necessarily, agree with the guys tactics, but I do like his message....Which is Constitutional Rights are being stripped from us. At least he takes a stand, and says what he believes.....

But I think the police were trying to send a message. I mean helicopters, battering rams, flash grenades..... :o

I mean what the heck?? It's not like he's Al Quida... Couldn't they have knocked on his door, and served the warrant?

Gestapo Tactics in America....

7:45 pm is not really the "middle of the night". With DST in effect it is still light out. Sunset will be at 8:36 pm there tonight.

The warrant also seems to have listed the shotgun specifically.

U.S. Park Police Lt. Pamela Smith said her agency executed a search warrant at Kokesh’s home in Herndon about 7:45 p.m. Tuesday, looking for a weapon.

*snip*

A roommate who saw the search warrant said police were looking for the shotgun Kokesh allegedly used in a July 4th video and materials related to the creation of the video.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/local/activist-adam-kokesh-reportedly-arrested-in-herndon/2013/07/10/73dbc8c2-e943-11e2-8f22-de4bd2a2bd39_story_1.html

The public will mostly see the police as merely being cautious by serving the warrant in this manner since firearms were involved. They will not see this in terms of "storm troopers" as Kokesh's camp has now conveyed.

While ideologues with similar sentiments as Kokesh might see him as a likable guy they would not mind having over for dinner and even be able to trust others might not. Now after some of the things he said (see article below) it is no surprise law enforcement has a different perception. Taking precautions seems perfectly within bounds.

The rhetoric in the following article is going to further estrange this strain of libertarianism to the general public. A change of tactics and better spokespersons might not be totally unreasonable to consider?

Keep in mind The Daily Caller was founded by a conservative libertarian and is still considered conservative within the Beltway. If they are characterizing Kokesh as a "conspiracy theorist" then it will do much to influence the national conversation if there even is one. Merely labeling them as mainstream or statist is just a disservice to the libertarian cause and does not really stain the rest of us or begin to change the deficit of goodwill libertarianism will face if the gun waving rhetoric continues.

Conspiracy theorist and activist Adam Kokesh was arrested in his Northern Virginia home Tuesday night on drug possession and weapon charges. The arrest followed a widely seen recent video in which Kokesh loaded a shotgun.

*snip*

The recent storm of scandals plaguing Washington has some anti-government activists eager to harness popular outage and implement radical policy changes or even the overthrow of the federal government. Some, however, are attracting the avid interest of police instead of average citizens. Kokesh had planned an open carry march on Washington for July 4, but called it off late in May.

Last Thursday, Kokesh uploaded a video to YouTube in which he loads four shells into a shotgun in Freedom Plaza in the early morning, while reciting a “Pledge of Resistance.” In the video’s description, Kokesh dares viewers to count the number of felonies he commits in the 23-second clip, which is oddly titled, “Open Carry March in DC a success.”

“We are the final American revolution,” Kokesh says as he cocks the shotgun. “See you next Independence Day.”

*snip*

Announcing the cancellation of the open carry march, Kokesh warned darkly in a statement issued from a Philadelphia jail, “Should one whole year from this July 4th pass while the crimes of this government are allowed to continue, we may have passed the point at which non-violent revolution becomes impossible.”

A minor observation. They were still there after midnight tearing the house apart.

The warrant also seems to have listed the shotgun specifically.

Thank you. It better have or that would have been a legal problem for the prosecution in court.

I agree that battering down the door and not announcing the warrant was standard operating procedure for serving a warrant on a subject they perceive to be dangerous. An armored vehicle and 20 SWAT? That smacks of Stosstruppen.

So long as they had the warrant, I'm giving law enforcement the benefit of the doubt and not jumping into any of the conspiracy theories like planting drugs that tend to sprout out of unknowns and unanswered questions in events like this.

The rhetoric in the following article is going to further estrange this strain of libertarianism to the general public. A change of tactics and better spokespersons might not be totally unreasonable to consider?

There's plenty of libertarians with different rhetoric out there. Who's your favorite?

Keep in mind The Daily Caller was founded by a conservative libertarian and is still considered conservative within the Beltway. If they are characterizing Kokesh as a "conspiracy theorist" then it will do much to influence the national conversation if there even is one. Pandering and appeasing statists isn't how to fight a battle. To fight, you have to confront. These people don't need another rhetorical apologist, they need a challenge. Labeling them as "mainstream" is a disservice? If you're going to be hurt by that word, you'll be hurt by any word. I consider that emotional porcelain.

As for what you're quoting from the dailycaller, you again must not have watched the OP videos. What Kokesh did and said is the topic of the discussion here.

He smoked weed in front of the weed-smoking President's house? So that's stupid but the White House isn't hypocritical? I think that's stupid. What Adam smoked in front of the White House is called civil disobedience. It's sitting in the front of the bus, Rosa. And it's not stupid, it's necessary. Government takes the credit for all the great social change that's occurs throughout history but it's the people who demonstrate, who challenge, who push the envelope and yes, who break the lesser and often stupid law, to bring about that great change. There were armed marches in other capitals and nobody got arrested.

That is less civil disobedience and more juvenile theatrics in regards to using drugs in front of the White House.

There is a difference and I mean a huge difference between this guy and Rosa Parks. That you believe they are on the same historical level of civil disobedience makes me wonder if you are understanding what it actually means.
