Goonarth

In the land of Goonarth fairies and animals lived together. It is a green oasis, but Edmondo and Ofra weren’t happy, in fact they hate Goonarth and its creators. They want to rule. In Goonarth, Edmondo and Ofra are outcast and aren’t allowed near the gates of Goonarth. But Goonarth is a happy place; they are the only beings who aren’t allowed in.

The water is crystal clear, trees are green and lively. But Hanna, princess of Goonarth, is in love with Indra, son of Edmondo and Ofra. Unlike his parents he is different: he has love and joy for Goonarth and he wants to live with Hanna on Goonarth. He flies to her at night and confesses his love for her and tells how one day they’ll be married. They’ll spend long nights together in a Wonderland of love and happiness. They will wake up holding each other and not have a care except for the one they love, the one they hold so close and so dear. In the days Hanna spends with her dear friend, Yanca, she tellsYanca of her long nights and wondrous mornings. Yanca envied the love Hanna has for Indra and the love he gave her in return. She loved Indra, but this was a secret love; one Hanna doesn’t know of.

The love between Hanna and Indra grew strong through these times as did Yanca’s envy. But Indra has something he is hiding from Hanna: he is not the only one with strong feelings. He feels for Yanca, and Yanca’s brother is in love with Hanna. Only two know of this, Edmondo and Ofra, and they are going to use these love triangles to their advantage. In their devious plans they are going to kill their only son, Indra.

They were ready. They had planned for what seem like years. That night while Ofra cooked dinner she make special bowl of soup for Indra which contained a powerful poison. It would put Indra in a dead sleep but it took a while for the affect to kick in. Ofra prepares dinner, and carefully pours out each bowl. She takes a vile out of her apron, and puts a few drops into a bowl. Ofra places the bowl in front of Indra, and watches as he quickly finishes his meal. Indra leaves, flying swiftly to Hanna’s arms.

Hanna watches as he approaches her, and notices that he isn’t flying steadily. She watches as he falls, crashing into her room. Hanna grabs Indra, holding him carefully in her arms. Indra opens his eyes, and looks at Hanna.

“Hanna… you weren’t the only one I dreamt about.” He said softly.

”What ever do you mean?” She says, shocked.

“I loved Yanca. I loved her deeply. I’m sorry.”

Indra grabs a handful of Hanna’s dress, his eyes flutter and close. After a few moments, his grasp slackens and his body goes limp.

Tears fall from Hanna’s face, dripping over his emotionless features. She sobs silently in the moonlight.

This had shocked, as Hanna she never would have imagined that after their long nights and loving times he had felt this way. And as they had planned Hanna ran to tell the king of Indra’s death and everything else: Their love and how she’d sneak off to see him, and how he was in love with Yanca. as the king heard this, he furiously sent Hanna out of Goonarth for betraying him. You can only imagine who was waiting for Hanna when she flew out of the lands of Goonarth. Ofra was waiting for her, she hid herself and waited for Hanna. When Hanna got to the Serine Water, where her and Indra had shared so many kisses and held each other until the waking mornings. She had never felt so alone until this moment. She was hurt and had lost her only love in more then one way. She almost felt she couldn’t bear the pain. She laid on her side, thinking of all the moments they had spent there, remember how he would hold her tight. She cried so much, she felt as if her whole world had crashed upon her and there wasn’t a thing she could ever do. As she lay there she heard a movement in the bushes. She jumped at a unfamiliar voice. “Dear, all those tears will not do any good.” Said a voice, an older women in tattered clothing came from behind the trees. But this not is Ofra. Who is this elderly woman? She is Wanda, a great and powerful witch, but Hanna had no Idea of who she was. Wanda had known of Edmondo and Ofra’s plan and had arrived earlier to get to Hanna before Ofra. But unlike Ofra, Wanda wasn’t going to use Hanna but help her. The elderly lady took Hanna to her home in the middle of the woods. Her home smelled like fresh cooking and flowers and many different wonders. That night Wanda cooked a wondrous meal that they ate beneath candle light. They talked and not of why Hanna was crying not even of Goonarth. They had talked of Wanda who she was what she did and why she lived alone. “Don’t you ever feel alone out here” Hanna had asked.

“But dear, that’s the whole point. I can live around all the others they never got me,” Wanda replied. To this Hanna had wonders of what would become of her life. Would she become like Wanda and live alone for so many years, or could she ever go back to Goonarth? Wanda showed Hanna where she’d be sleeping. It was a lovely room with the softest sheets and beautiful flowers. Hanna had no trouble going to sleep here. In fact, she felt more comfortable then she ever had in Goonarth. The morning next Hanna had awoke to smells of fresh fruits ands honey suckle and even what she thought to be cooked peach (her favorite). As Hanna walked down stairs the sweet smells grew and she couldn’t wait to bite into some of those peaches.

“Good morning dear!” Wanda sung in a very happy voice as she floated around her kitchen preparing for breakfast.

“Good morning” Hanna had replied back with a smile to fallow.

“It smells unimaginable down here” Hanna added. Hanna sat down and dug right into the fresh berries and dank her honeysuckle.

“Hanna, how did you sleep” Wanda asked. With berries still in her month and a big smile on her face she replied “Great”.

“Well I’m glad. Maybe you could come with me to pick wild flowers and berries in the forest this after noon”. Hanna shook her head to say yes. That afternoon they walked and collected flowers and they were on their way to the brook to get berries. As they went on they talked about many things. Wanda brought up Hanna’s parents. Hanna had only known of her father. Wanda tried to talk of Hanna’s mother but Hanna only said she didn’t know who she was and didn’t feel like talking of it anymore. It had surprised Wanda that Hanna knew nothing of her mother. When they got to the brook to pick berries there was no more talk about Hanna’s mother. They flew back to Wanda’s home. Wanda went straight to the kitchen, to start on dinner. Hanna came to help her.

After dinner Wanda sat in a big rocking chair and read her book quietly Hanna had watched her for a moment they headed upstairs to where she stayed. Hanna sat on the balcony of the room and looked out in hopes to see Indra fly to her side as if it were all a bad dream. Wanda sat in her chair trying to think of a way to tell Hanna what really happened to her mother. Hanna’s father had always told her that Hanna’s mother died trying to save her young daughter’s life when humans came to close to Goonarth. Her father’s words were not as good hearted as he thought deep inside she knew her mother was alive and searching for her. Wanda knew that she had to tell her daughter the truth about their blood relation.

The next day, Hanna came down for breakfast only to smell the sweet smell of honeysuckle juice coming from a pitcher on the kitchen table. As she sat down she poured herself a glass of juice. Wanda sat next to Hanna and said in a quiet voice, “Hanna, I am your mother.”

Hanna fell over, fainting. Wanda splashed cold water on her face to try to wake her up. Hanna gasped as she came abruptly out of unconsciousness. She stared at her ‘new’ mother as she noted the similarities between them. At first she was mad then she was relieved. Hanna decided to live with Wanda so they could retain a healthy mother/daughter relationship. Hanna found other fairies outside of Goonarth through her explorations with her mother. Since the evil faeries were banned forever the Goonarthians lived in harmony for along time.
