remember back in the day, when friends were tight

we'd get drunk, maybe start a fight

I had his back, he had mine

we were like perfectly woven threads at the end of the twine

fallow eachother to the end of the line

id start a beat, hed spit a rhyme

when I was broke, hed give a dime

he had a kid, we grew apart over time

I chose a 9 to 5, he chose a life of crime

wed call and talk, sometimes we texted

I fed my kids, hed be getting arrested

hed ask me to join, I would reject it

told him his life needed to be redirected

what happend next, well its expected

I picked up my phone to call my brother

it wasnt him, but his crying mother

I enjoyed painting, he died for color

You better stand your ground as a strong female or man.

different choices and circumstances

villains and heroes separated

by such thin lines of legal fictions

and disguised crimes

some work within the system

taking advantage either way

others work outside the law

we are all ships easily swayed

let me tell about chaotic good

about the snowed in snow man

telling the world state secrets

is he a robin hood with

a social media fan base

or a robin goodfellow

with agents on his trace

then we have lawful evil

the zim zam man with a gun

only half find credible

still manage to beat the rap

the sound of a one handed clap

within prescription of the law

a shootout where only one draws

when good men turn evil
