shrooma Posted July 14, 2013 #3 Share Posted July 14, 2013 i seem to remember someone finding tree DNA up in the arctic circle somewhere (greenland/iceland?) that was half a million years old and in good condition, but i don't know if that's as long as it lasts? depends how it's kept i suppose. i'm assuming that it was frozen, being so far up north, so if they can dig pollen out from ice cores that are even older, then who knows....?
