PersonFromPorlock Posted July 24, 2013 #26 Share Posted July 24, 2013 (edited) The origin of the term 'God Almighty' may derive from an ancient Canaanite 'God of the Mountains' and in many places around the world mountains were seen as sacred and dedicated to deities. Not quite. The term "God Almighty" was coined by the First Recruits to describe the First Drill Instructor, and used by Him to describe the First Recruits.
