A Virginia Tech student not only thinks Kurt Cobain is still alive, but also possibly believes he is a woman.

Nirvana's former label, Sub Pop Records, posted a letter Wednesday that they received (see below) from a Virginia Tech student asking them to record a message to university students, the script for which read:

I remember seeing thevideo of the teen that, while wearing a Nirvana t-shirt, asked who the *bleep* Kurt Cobain was.

Makes me feel old. I'ma gonna go grab my cane and go out in the yard and yell at some kids now.

Mixing up bands really isn't that scary.

Mark Arm is hilarious ... And Mudhoney puts on one hell of a show if you get the chance to see them.

A couple of weeks ago, a local free paper in Seattle called The Stranger put out an article about all the funny letters and visitors Sub Pop gets on a daily basis. I guess if you're one of the biggest indy labels in the industry, a certain amount of insanity comes with that. LOL.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to write a letter to Michael Jackson to see if she'll ask John Lennon to record me a message on her iPhone.

To be fair to the person, this might have been their cause for confusion:

I don't know. My psychic nature is telling me that this person got Nirvana mixed up with No Doubt. I don't have any corroborating facts. I just bet it's true.
