If myth is just something which is not real then why are they so much popular?And in my opinion myths and superstitions are created only to make people fear of sins.

I think the reason they become so popular and work so well is that they have deep rooted metaphor and symbolism in them. If you go through all of the flash and lights, and strip the stories down to the bones, you find that they are often lessons, or at least stories of things we all deal with, represented in mythical story form.

(yes, even Spiderman and Thor)
