Talking robot heads to space station

A talking humanoid robot has blasted off on board the unmanned Konotori 4 space cargo transporter.

The first talking humanoid robot, Kirobo, has taken off from a Japanese space centre for the International Space Station. The Japanese rocket H-IIB Transfer Vehicle blasted off from the Tanegashima Space Centre carrying five and a half tonnes of supplies and equipment.

My first thoughts were "OK, this is just plain weird"

But I guess humanoid robots are in our future, so, OK then.

LOL, yeah, as some other posters have noted, for real long and lonely journeys, they will have to design a _female_ robot companion.

Pretty sure the Japanese are developing this tech. I'm sure it's for the benefit of all mankind... :innocent:
