MAVEN in Acoustics Testing

On February 13, 2013, the MAVEN spacecraft was placed in the Reverberant Acoustics Laboratory at Lockheed Martin Space Systems in Littleton, Colorado. The future Mars orbiter was subjected to 145 decibels in order to simulate the vibration and noise levels that will occur during its launch from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida this November.
